Baylor passes incredibly well and every player other than the bigs dribbles well. They have 8 well rounded players. They do get uot and run, but really disciplined with shot selection and pass to a better shot. Really impressive. Yeah but the big difference to me is the team speed of Baylor and the fact that four of their guys break down their own man with the dribble. Watching different games. Baylor is often pulling the ball back and slowing it down in half court when they don't have an all out advantage. Insanely disciplined in not taking a shot nor a bad pass. Most top teams have 4 to 6 players that have solid handles. If they were just getting out and running the game would be a lot closer as they haven't had advantage and would have ended up with no bucket. They are playing very smart, they can get out and run, can drive off quick step, but also shoot deep. They have it all and playing very intelligently. They are really good. Players know when they have advantage and when they don't. Defense is the killer as every player on the court can play good tought tight defense with good quick hands. That is tough, but what UCLA was doing as well.

It's a lot of one on one by Baylor. Smart strategy!

Well, a Jesuit school from Washington whose name begins with "G" and has a bulldog for a mascot is in the championship game. . . and getting blown out. Cruel...and very accurate.

I wish that we had dribblers on our team like Baylor does where they can shake their man with a jump shot or get to the basket. This is what I wanted from my boy Pickett and my boy Bile to do. Blair and Pickett had none of that. Pickett worked on it and improved, but it wasn't something he remotely had coming in. Neither had the handles not the quick step (nor footwork nor body action to sell it). It takes a lot of hours in the gym or on a court grinding and grinding. Blair never seemed to put in the work. Pickett did and his game improved.

We are watching two completely different games then... Yep, you know ain't it too many things that you and I agree on Etomic but this is certainly one thing that we can agree on. We are definitely watching two different games. Just after I wrote my comment, the announcer said the exact same thing I said. He said that every Baylor player uses the dribble drive. So yeah, we are watching two different games. They are using the dribble drive to create for themselves and others though right? That's great basketball, check their assist totals...

Impressively surgical.
Gonzaga left it all on the court on Saturday against UCLA, and had nothing left in the tank for Baylor.

It is more than just recruiting. This is a well constructed roster. Every piece fits. The synergy among the group is impressive in all facets. Deeply agree. They rotate really well and communicate really well on defense. Gonzaga usually does, but didn't have the match-up player to player. Glass control was getting good position and holding it. Same as how UCLA beat Michigan. Baylor was really impressive.

I still think Baylor wins, but it may have been tighter, but Baylor has a lot more weapons.

UCLA has a great skill in getting opposing teams to play their style of play. I think Cronin is a better in-game coach than Few. I think Baylor has too much firepower, even for the tough UCLA.

The entire country. Baylor is one the most complete teams to win the NCAA's in recent years.

I know UCLA has 2 players that can isolate and get their own shot, would have been interesting to see how Baylor would have defended them.

A ways, but watching UCLA through their last 3 games, next year's Hoya's could be close to that. Next year's Hoyas should be better than this year by January. Probably closer to Gonzaga with their youthful team (their first 6 were a senior, 2 juniors, two sophomores, and a Freshman and the 7th was a sophomore). Next year's Hoyas may be better rounded than this past years. Bile may be the most missed as well as Q. But, defense should be better. This year's freshman showed their offensive skills are good, but defense even better and more athletic. Next year have Dante, Beard, and TJ who could all play at the same time. Clark, Holloway, and Aminu on wings, with Carey give shooting, speed, and defense. Sibley and Billiingsley give length and ability to shoot and rebound. Then three bigs with Mutombo with the best IQ of them and seems to move well, but will need to adjust to D1 play, but has most of the basics down that Tim and Malcom haven't had after sophomore year. It could be interesting. Patrick has shown he can get a lot out of decent players and even more out of better players and really good players coming in and moving up.

Coach Drew is crazy in good way Wonder if Kentucky may come a calling in this new covid era of college basketball As Calipari is clearly struggling now.
Duke and Kentucky, Hoyas had a more successful season than both programs. I have to go back to 2007 to think of the last Georgetown had a better season over both those programs

He is looked at as a savior of how he built that program. He can build his own Kentucky right at Baylor.

I know UCLA has 2 players that can isolate and get their own shot, would have been interesting to see how Baylor would have defended them. Suggs, Kispert, and Nembhard normally can shoot really well and make their own shots and Ayayi is streaky, and they feed Timme inside. Baylor just shut them down and didn't give them room. Juzang in the tournament could make his own shot and make long contested shots or blow by players, but agaist Baylor he would be running into more defense. Baylor's defense communicates and adapts insanely well. UCLA's length would have been interesting against Baylor with 3 6'6" wings, Tiger, and 6'9" Riley. Riley disrupted Dickinsen out of his mind as Huter never had a balanced shot nor contact free. But Baylor had two on the boards set properly and holding their ground.
