I get rooting against Syracuse, but not Nova. The Big East needs to show well on the big stage. If Nova lost 2,000 in a row, it would never be enough for me. I hate them unconditionally and eternally.

I hate them unconditionally and eternally. Forget the BE needing to show well...I was rooting for them to lose so horrifically that people question whether the BE is a viable conference. hm

So, this is going to be the last time a mediocre Syracuse team barely sneaks into the tournament and then still makes a Sweet 16 or Final 4 because that's how far they have to go before they get matched up with a team that has a decent offense and more than 1 day to prepare for their junk defense, right? Buddy's going to go pro, Nosepicker Jim is going to finally retire, and then they'll never have another coach who can recruit any kind of talent to play in Siberia for the 9th most important program in the conference, yes? Program officially dead now? Cool, tks. Unfortunately Jimmy Boeheim the coaches namesake is transferring since he did not get a season at Cornell. So perhaps Jim will stick around 1 year to coach his other son! Still, you have to believe Syracuse's days as a known basketball program are nearing an end!

Buddy Boeheim will not only be back next year, he will take the extra COVID year just so dad can justify staying around. Buddy's mom will force him to stay - would you want Magoo to retire and hang around the house all day complaining about every call you made - housekeeping, shopping, gardening, dinner?

You can both root for Nova to lose and for Nova to have a good showing for the BE. Nova did better than most expected and still lost. Win/Win for GTown fans and the BE. I'm rooting for Creighton to win because I don't want Gonzaga to become Duke West. Coach K is close to retiring and Ewing/GTown is in prime position to take over as "the" destination for recruits. It would be nice if Gonzaga went back to the little brother position...

However, as a personal matter of deep hatred, I can never, ever, root for Nova to win a single game against any opponent. If they lost 2,000 in a row by 100 points a game it would not be enough misery for them and their fans. Not rational; not reasonable; just how I feel.

Just amazing to me how good the defenses are in this year's tourney. Really curious to see how Gonzaga handles the Michigan and Baylor or Houston defenses. And as much as I hate Boeheim I see his 2-3 zone being really tough next year with that 7 foot center he has.

Gonzaga is so much fun to watch. And since we beat Creighton by more than Gonzaga did, by my inductive reasoning, we would have beaten Gonzaga.

A lot of 2pt baskets by Michigan most of them by the big men. They are blowing FSU. FSU can't even get a 3 pt shot.
