I'm trying not to do any work today, so humor me...
If any of them took place in a pick-up game, please give very detailed description...
In no particular order...
Shawn Kemp over Alton Lister - '9? NBA playoffs The only time I can remember someone rocking the cradle in the half-court set...
Phil Henderson over Zo - '89 Regional Final... after about two months, when I could finally stomach watching the game, I would put this one in super slow-mo and watch it over and over again...
Demetrius Hunter over Eddie Griffin - '01 Seton Hall @ Hoyas... he caught Eddie by total surprise...if anyone has this on tape, watch the guy's reaction who's seated at the end of Seton Hall's bench...classic...
Harold Minor over UCLA - '9? what made this dunk so impressive was the 15 second dribbling display that Minor put on before he drove the lane and gave the bruins some two-fisted fury...
Tracy McGrady over Nowitzki - '03(?) NBA all-star game this is the self-assisted dunk that McGrady got by throwing the ball off the glass to himself...I think this one is a little more recent, so I think we all remember this one...

Allen Iverson over Kirk King 1996 Hoyas vs. UConn game at USAir Arena
It was the first time I ever saw a timeout called only 20 seconds or so into the 2nd half. AI even got a blocking call on Kirk King.
Amazing.

Definitely a great one…He caught the whole team by surprise on that one…me too… If he would have flushed it when he went baseline on Adonal Foyle in the Pre-Season NIT, that one would have been up here…totally wasn't expecting that...

AI over Marcus Camby. Best dunk. He crossed up Padilla (I think it was him or the other guard), and took it to the lane with two hands. Unbelievable. That was great alone. What made it even more spectacular was that AI had said before the game that he was going to "take it to the lane. I don't care if its 4 Marcus Camby's in the paint". He said that because the Umass players talked about about getting physical with Iverson if he was going to keep driving to the lane. Padillia had said "we are going to break his ankles".

You sure it was Kirk King? Could have sworn it was Rudi Johnson.
That was the most excited I have ever been at a sporting event.
Favorite non-Hoya dunk was John Starks going baseline on the Bulls. Wow!

GREAT thread, aggy.
It wasn't in traffic, but the one that still makes my jaw drop is Vin-sanity OVER that seven-foot Frenchie. Unreal.
The Jordan facial on Ewing and Co.?

Favorite non-Hoya dunk was John Starks going baseline on the Bulls. Wow! That is probably my favorite highlight of all time!!! Don't know how I could have forgotten that one... That one took place in the middle of my "I hate Michael Jordan" portion of my life...That was a rough 20 years...

DJ @ Duke two years ago. On your neck, Daniel Ewing. I was there and almost jumped out of my seat.

Bowman bonecrusher vs UConn in the BET was pretty ridiculous. Totally surprised the Huskies.

February (?) 1978, McDonough Gym Top 20 Georgetown vs. Top 20 Detroit. John Duren dishes to Craig Shelton in traffic who dunks over Terry Tyler (like Big Sky a truly awesome leaper) to beat Detroit by 1 point. The picture, captured on the front page of the Washington Post, of Shelton's head at hoop level and Tyler's hands bending back into the hoop is a classic.

Aside from the Iverson one --
I first thought that Dwyane Wade would be a good pro with that one dunk versus Kentucky in their Final Four year.
Best part of that Duke game was Gerald Riley telling Duhon (?) to get up, you p****!

My favorite is from this year Game 2 of the Western Conference First Round between the Rockets and Mavs. McGrady goes baseline and flushes it all over Bradley leaving his nuts resting in his face. If any of you facebook people want to see a picture of this look for the NBA Live group. It is a terrific picture.

Man! David Edwards. Another good player that got away. FWIW, I remember Edwards being an academic casualty, rather than an unexpected transfer (ala Bethel). Part of the notorious '89 class.

Man, the more I hear about the 80s, the more I understand DFW's hatred of transfers. It seems like more than anything else, transfers and academic casualties started the decline.

A new one is Nate Robinson (all 5'8'' of him) getting up over everyone for a putback in the Knicks summer league game. Nate is pretty much already my second favorite player on the Knicks (beside the obvious) and he's going to make Stephon Marbury (or, as he likes to be known as, the "best" point guard in the game) obsolete very, very soon. Like, right now, for instance. Here's the link: www.nba.com/timberwolves/gameday/robinson_dunk.htmlHe actually gets called for an over-the-back, but who cares? Sick. Nothing will ever top Starks going baseline against the Bulls. Probably the greatest moment of my life, thus far!

Yeah, with the original Oxon Hill All American, Mike Tate, Madgestiq Stoudamire and the underrated Mike Sabol. As for dunks, I remember one in '94 when Big Dog threw on Ostertag of Kansas so badly (getting the and-one) that he then forced Ostertag to give him a high five, which Ostertag grudgingly did. That was one of the nastiest I've ever seen. As for Hoya dunks, there's gotta be a Ewing in there, maybe the one over Sampson, maybe the one against SJU in the Final 4 where he took off outside the lane (or so it seemed).
