Fingers crossed that the pause is ending. From what I heard from one of the Voice reporters is that the one person who had covid has recovered and they will be playing on Saturday.

Any word on Jalen Harris lately. He has been gone from the team for a while now. Not sure what the issue was that caused him to leave the program, but thought he might be back at some point. I know they said it was a personal/family issue. I hope everything is Ok in the young man's life and that he can return at some point.

For Provy, I'm not sure I've looked at a team profile page and seen...so little jump out. The only thing is they're kinda ok at not turning the ball over (67th best in nation). That and being not terrible at anything has them with a borderline top 50 offense. They don't shoot a ton of 3s but you obviously have to stay tight on Duke and Reeves. The defense is worse than their offense, which is kinda rare for a Provy team. And ultimately it's going to come down to containing Duke and Watson. Q has struggled with burlier / stronger type centers so maybe you see Tim I instead of Malcolm in this one? No good answers for Duke but Ewing seems to trust Blair more than Carey with defensive assignments so imagine that'll be the plan.
The Provy fans I talk to seem generally frustrated with this team. And I get that, Duke and Watson are having phenomenal individual seasons and it feels like it's being squandered a bit. Although when you go through the game logs maybe you're frustrated you didn't sweep Butler otherwise it all seems kinda reasonable. Giving away the Xavier game is probably the killer but they still have two w us, St Johns and one more DePaul so there's a good chance their record looks a lot better at the end (although Johnnies might be onto something here).
And I'm already mentally preparing for them running the flex offense you learned in 7th grade to get an easy bucket.

I don't know if he can handle the assignment but I invision Kobe as our new Jagan and I would like to either embrace that or erase it.

I’ve watched quite a few PC games. Here’s my take on them:
- Duke dominates the ball and the team goes as he goes. He has improved his shot quite a bit, and he really prefers to pull up than to drive now. Last night he basically had half their points in the win against MU. - Watson dominates teams that can’t match him physically, but disappears when a team has an equally physical guy to guard him. - Reeves is an enigma. He has hit some late game shots in wins but he also has been invisible other times. He’s pretty one dimensional and he seems to be extremely hot/cold, but is due to get hot I fear - They are pretty good on the defensive end, and good at guarding the perimeter. They much rather play games in the 60s than the 80s.
Can we win this game? Sure. I haven’t been that impressed by them and they are 3-0 in OT games, so just as easily can be 2-8 in conference. But who knows how our team responds off the layoff. In the Ewing era we have struggled with them and Xavier, who like to junk up the game and keep the pace down. I don’t see us getting blown out (unless Reeves gets his confidence back against us), but I think it’ll be a game well come up a few possessions short; in that regard may look something like the Syracuse game.

Alyn Breed is the one to watch. He’s that player we’ve seen go off vs. GU for a record game.

Glad to be able to see the guys on the court again. I'm sure it will be more of the same but hopefully we see the team come out with more effort and play crisper after this long break. I assume the games we missed will be rescheduled so we're going to have a lot of games with very little break. As a result, I hope Pat gives out plenty of minutes to everyone to keep the starters fresh. No reason to have Blair close to 35+ minutes. If you think you'll need him late to get the W, give him rest in the 1st.

The long period of not playing concerns me. Why? Other teams have played through their game pauses. No excuses! In fact, we might see a new defensive scheme developed over 17 days to confuse Cooley. It’s not rocket science. Maybe we see another offensive play other than the dumparoo to Q and the NBA Pro 1-v-1 (with 3-star players)...

Anybody attend or attending the pre-game show. I registered, but cannot get on. Also, it said the event is over.

Well since the team has not been able to practice together I would not expect new schemes or sets.
