Are we going to be wearing new unis this season? I hope we revert to the old home and away that we had in the Iverson years - intimidating gray for home and dark navy or black on the road. These current white and blue unis make us look like a lame Conference USA squad.

We are indeed scrapping the current uniforms and going back to gray for home and navy for road. No idea of the design yet....

Some of us at Kenner League noticed that Bowman had some Jordan shorts on that were white and light grey, those might be similar to our new jerseys. The color was a little light for me but there looked pretty sweet. No kente cloth on 'em.

And thus shall it be inscribed in the annals of the Georgetown basketball history project:
"Though speckled with some noteworthy accomplishments, including a trip to the Sweet Sixteen in 2001 and the tour-de-force 3-year career of Michael Sweetney, what is now known by Hoya fans as "The White Jersey Era" is generally lamented as, ironically, some of the darkest of times. The White Jersey Era saw the retirement of the legendary John Thompson, losing conference records, unprecedented levels of transfers, and the brief but unremarkable career of head coach Craig Esherick. Fortunately, the White Jersey Era met its demise early in the tenure of head coach John Thompson III, who ushered in a new age of Blue & Grey as Georgetown re-established its rightful position as a dominant force in college basketball for many years to come."

New uniforms would be nice, but that means CasualHoya would have to buy new pajamas so he can sleep in an exact replica of what Kenny Izzo wears on gameday.

Boz ...... in rare form for a Monday morning. ;D Can't wait to see the new uni's at some games this year! (Heck ... just glad that the new and improved ooc schedule is going to make game-watching on TV possible for us oot'ers*.) * oot'ers = Out of towners. Not to be confused with a like-sounding chain of eateries nor a regional airline featuring gals who serve beers at the aforesaid eateries.

Those shorts Brandon had on this weekend are just random shorts anybody can buy. I've seen them in stores before (at least I'm pretty sure I have).

NO KENTE CLOTH?!?!? That is soooooo weak The use of Kente designs was more a Nike marketing gimmick and was not Georgetown specific. It's best left in the past.

Although the Kente Cloth was ugly in many respects, it was also pretty unique. It belongs as a proud part of the tradition of cool Hoya uniforms!

As long as they don’t bring back those “Nutties” we use to wear, I’ll be fine…

Does anyone remember when we had the warm-ups that kind of had a denim look to them? Now THAT is a tradition we don't want to bring back! (although Pascal Fleury did sport it nicely while riding the bench).

What about the disgusting teal jersey era that saw us post our first losing record in forever and not go to a post-conference tournament?

I'm okay with the teal jerseys (and Esh), but those denim things were a little too much.

Its not so much the Esh thing this time - its that those unis were [EDITED] ugly - and the black unis with the teal numbers weren't much better.

Well, we're supposed to be going back to blue and gray but we haven't been guaranteed gray home unis yet I dont think. They could end up being white with blue and gray details, which would be better than the current use of teal and black, but gray at home and dark blue on the road would be awesome.

How many teams use gray at home? That has to be pretty rare right? I mean don't most sports franchises use a grayer or at least darker road uni?
