If we add Cliff O. (and don’t have any last-minute portal entries), look out.

247sports.com/Season/2024-Basketball/OverallTeamRankings/This combines freshmen and transfer incoming players. Some pretty good company, and best in the conference, despite a 4-55 record the last 3 seasons. #12 UNC #13 Georgetown#14 Purdue Other BE Teams in Top 50: #24 UConn #32 Creighton #34 Villanova #41 Xavier #48 Providence Landing Cliff would put us at #6! For reference, last year (which many of us were content with it at the time) we were #45. So this certainly is another level. If this thing ever gets going, it can open the floodgates.

No credibility. Xavier has one of the strongest teams on paper right now and they're tier 3?

No credibility. Xavier has one of the strongest teams on paper right now and they're tier 3? I think its pretty clear that the argument isn't which teams are the best on paper for the next season, but which programs are set up for future success...ie coach, brand, recruiting, NIL, facilities

Because Xavier has a better coach, has recruited better, and has better facilities than us.

Because Xavier has a better coach, has recruited better, and has better facilities than us. Or maybe he simply disagrees with you. His reasoning is 2024 recruiting (#1 in the Big East), a "really good coach", and top 3 NIL.
