This reads like a college essay where the student went back through his paragraph and ran every word through the thesaurus to try to sound as smart as possible. Can't we just talk, in layman's terms, about basketball? Despite being far removed, it's likely a legacy of submitting weekly essays for Father Hentz and on the topic of the Second Vatican Council w/ Karl Rahner as an influential principal. Mea culpa. If Jordan wants to flex as he's doin' him, so be it. It's the on court equivalent of the dozens - it's on others to fire shots back if they think he's clowning on them. Better?

With a post like that, of course you are forgiven. Great post, thanks!!!

Really enjoyed the candor in that interview. Made me even more proud of our coaching staff. You can’t teach genuine; you either have it or you don’t.

I told you guys Coach Ewing was a very good guy. I first met him when I was 19 and he didn't know me from Adam. He was in his rookie year of the NBA and I saw him in the bookstore, where I was working back then and I asked him what are you doing back here and he told me he was taking a finance class. He smiled at me and I smiled at him and was impressed. It was like he regarded me as a friend, in spite of the fact he didn't know me.
Some 20 years later we ran into each other at Yates and he spoke to me first. He gave me a what's up nod as I was walking in on the court bouncing a ball. I looked up with glee because I had something to tell him all these years later. I asked him if he remember me from way back when he first got into the league and I questioned why he was back at the bookstore. Patrick smiled and said oh yeah, I remember that! I had been a big fan of Patrick back when he first picked Georgetown and remained a fan of his and still is a big fan of his. At this time, he had retired and I wanted to let him know how much of a fan I was of him.
Anyways, after practicing on the court and after he was done, we spoke again and I told him how he was my favorite player of all time and he was happy to hear that. We spoke for at least 20 minutes altogether and I was remeniscing about the good old days and his Hoya teammates. I asked him a lot of questions and Patrick answered all of them and was holding a conversation with me like we were friends for 20 years.
This is the guy Patrick is or should I say coach is. He is a very good person, approachable, genuine and I would say he is a humble guy. He is not just one of my all time favorite sport's star, he is one of my all time favorite persons in history.

Took me a second to realize the Alzheimer’s all star game was to support people with Alzheimer’s and not just the top basketball players in the country with Alzheimer’s 🤣

With his defense, cat like reflexes/instincts and long arms, does he remind anyone of...oh never mind.
I sure do miss basketball. Any chance of him starting as a Freshman?

With the roster we currently (will) have, he's a definite starter. Maybe if we add a PG like Collins (or a diff G/W like Mohammed) or guys like Carey & Clark show very strong this year, it's possible he's a 6th or 7th guy. Either way, he's almost assured of significant minutes from Day 1.
