Riley and Beard is a great start to the class. Between this commitment and the Carey news earlier in the week it feels like we have a little positive momentum. Nice to have that feeling again!
With Beard and Riley coming next year, after adding Harris and Berger this year, plus one more year of Carey, our backcourt for next year looks pretty complete on paper. If there's another high level prospect to be added, great, but unless there's a defection theoretically we're in a good spot as is. It would be great if we could lock down a high quality 4/5 in the next month or two--then we'd have all our biggest needs addressed and we'd be able to hang onto our last 2021 scholarship for a potential big fish (Mohammed, Baldwin, Holmgren etc.) with the possibility of adding a late bloomer or grad transfer as Plan B.

This is very, very exciting news...mentioned as the most underrated guard in the country by his NY Lightning AAU coach...he's a "take no prisoners" type of player described as "an old Big East" player...he's also a disruptive, Swiss Army knife defensive player which tends to get overlooked...Welcome to the Hilltop Jordan and the Riley family!

Interesting interview. Kid seems super confident and ready to get after it. As long as he can back that up, I love the attitude. His dad seems to be super-hyped on his son -- love the support for your kid, you know Pat will make sure it doesn't become too much. I also like that they drove down on their own a couple weeks ago to see the campus without seeing anyone else. That sounds more like a verify my decision and make sure I like where I'd end up type trip, especially since he didn't go to other campuses besides St. John's -- seems to indicate this has been in the works longer than has been known. But, my favorite part of the whole article is that Jordan is already talking about recruiting other prospects to join him at GU: That's the sort of thing I've been waiting and hoping to see out of one of our commits. Jordan seems like the type of guy that could be compelling to others to play with. Interesting to see, though, that he mentioned recruiting other guards -- have to think there's a vision of how they play together. I do like that Malachi Smith was looking for someone to help him edit a video about the time it sounds like Jordan made his decision. This could turn in a great direction.

Great pick up.
So is he a CG, SG, or wing? If he is recruiting Malachi Smith that suggests to me he doesn’t see himself as a PG.

Super excited, don't think we would've reeled him in if Mac was still here and this kid is oozing potential. Welcome to the hilltop!

Aaron Bowen athleticism with more of a Jabril trawick mentality.

He needs to grow offensively but the staff really likes his upside. He’s a plus athlete. He really fills in the role that Myron Gardner vacated.

More of a wing? 6-4 isn't great size for a 3 but like to see that our backcourt is starting to get bigger than in past years.

Nobody should talk badly of my coach and the staff ever again. Coach Ewing has done a fantastic job for Georgetown. He has come when the program was held together by a shoestring. He was able to get Mac and Akinjo to help get the ball rolling with future recruits. Yeah we lost four very talented players and we also lost Yurt. But y'all got to have patience and you got to give it up to coach.
He's done a terrific job with transfers and with recruits. Yeah we had a couple of recruits flipped and it set us back. But, just like I thought...coach can relate to these kids and vice versa. You heard the kid say all the things that he thought would be beneficial to him for playing under Coach Ewing. Some of these things I mentioned in one of my post.
Now if we can get a couple of guys to recruit from the DMV area so that we can start to land some big time DMV recruits, we will begin to see our beloved Hoyas return to prominence once again. Let's Go Hoyas! Good job staff and good job Coach Ewing!

Aaron Bowen athleticism with more of a Jabril trawick mentality. Perfect comp....I saw his highlight and thought Hamidou Diallo athletism and Brilly physicality....

I believe we have the pieces in place to be fighting for conference crowns over the next few years...Beard, Sibley, Riley, Clark, Harris and Berger make a deep and versatile group of guards/wings. If we can get one of Chet/Ryan be we will be set to make some noise in '21/22....

Jordan Riley welcome aboard young man. You made the right decision committing to Gtown. You are coach Ewing biggest recruit so far in his tenure as head coach. Hoya Saxa!

I’ve been down on our recruiting. So, I’ll happily eat some crow and give a big thumbs-up here. Looks like Coaches Ewing and Orr worked hard to reel in a big-time player.
