I thought his offensive performance against Syracuse was exactly what I am expecting from him this year. He had a quiet, but critical 10 points. His game isn't flashy and it doesn't need to be. He simply came into the game and put in the work along the baseline, bullying his way to some buckets. He played like he was 6'9" on the block (granted, he didn't rebound like it). Every team needs guys willing to do the dirty work down low and I thought Holloway did exactly that on Saturday.

Collin continues to make very solid contributions every time out. I'm very happy to see him playing so well. We certainly need the depth and the tools he brings.

Right Play Right Time? That is only a guess.

I'll have to go back and look but it seemed like Colin didn't get the ball in spots that he likes. Too often, he got it on the perimeter and had to either drive or backdown his guy then get his moves going. At that point the offense has adjusted and are ready for his savvy moves.
He's going to be a key to our season but unless its a spot up 3, I'd like to see him get the ball inside the 3pt line.

Against this level of athletes his damage is going to be done from the 3 or making a cut to the basket without the ball. The lack of athleticism was on full display today.

Agreed, but he is who we have so we need to find him where it works. Down low and he gets out athleted and outside he's good for set shots. Give it to him in midrange and let him work for a shot or pass before he's in the low post.

Bump for a nice offensive game. Needs work at the other end, but could be a force in years 3 & 4.

Believe he’s got 2 years left. He has certainly made a jump this year. He just looks very comfortable out there.

If he could ever add some explosiveness/lift to his game then I could see him being a monster. Really need an athletic 5 man to stick next to him to cover up his lack of rebounding.

Aminu and him were doing a good of attacking the basket and facilitating. Colin is good at drawing fouls Except for that one offensive foul late. I felt it fell apart when Dante decided to ball dominate and stopped passing the ball after we got the 7 pt lead in the second half

Villanova seems to be a great match-up for him given that they play a skill based game. St. Johns on the other hand plays with speed, quickness, and athleticism. He really struggled against the Johnies.

Confident! Plays hard. Next to Aminu, he is our hardest worker on the floor.

What has happened to Collin the last few games? His offensive production has fallen off a cliff. I'm not expecting 20pts/gm but he should be good for 10.

He’s not going to be able to back everyone down, his rise and release is slow on his jump shot, and when he is able to exploit a bad close out and get to the rim, he doesn’t elevate well so gets blocked or stripped fairly often. He’s also not a good rebounder. He boxes out on occasion but then can’t get to the board or guys just jump right over him. He needs to spend the off season getting stronger and more explosive, and developing a quicker release on his shot.

He is a good role player. Great glue guy for a team with other talented players around him. He is not afraid to get physical and is confident in himself. Can hit the occasional 3-pt shot too. Just not tall nor athletic enough as a 4 to thrive against the taller, more athletic Big East competition in the paint.
