Unsure if GU was even ever asked if they wanted to opt into that rule; BE is not a Power 5 conference. Yes and it appears only ND opted in as an independent in football. But GU could simply opt in by announcing it as a policy it would honor which I think unlikely since it would put us at a disadvantage with other BE schools. DFW Hoya must know the answer??

Are you folks serious, what does this have to do with the current thread?

Are you folks serious, what does this have to do with the current thread? You are right it probably deserves its own thread. I brought up the issue because this thread is talking about the potential to bring in a player who is clearly talented but for whom there is not seemingly a scholarship currently available. I wonder how this all plays out with the current team members. Perhaps the moderator can move this discussion rather than hijack this thread.

We'll let Admin deal with a new thread... 🤣... I would hate it for about 5mins to be honest. I know that the players axed would be players that I actually am rooting for to succeed. I told my wife that we didn't need a new car for months. When we went to the dealership and I sat in the Caddy... good bye ole fateful Tahoe..... 🤷🏾♂️

In other news - Lindbergh made it! Not sure what that means. Lindbergh was before my time . Have no idea if these hilltop hoops guys are reliable at all, just saw an article on Baldwin and shared.

That's a very old response when someone tells you old news - just teasing you because the article you linked was linked a few hours ago farther back on this thread.

I'm glad I could prove that better late than never is a logical fallacy in some cases. Thought I'd definitely take Pat Baldwin late, rather than never. Would love to see Ewing's grind pay off like that.

No comparison on level of recruit, but Frazier Fanatic's namesake was a birthday present signee for me on May 9th one year, long, long ago.
We'll all be really impatient by then, but I'll take Baldwin on 5/9/21, please

In other words, business as usual.

Hopefully the shakeups at Unc (new coach and transfers) and Kentucky (basically “a whole new team” from scratch), helps us if we have a real shot.
As many articles have it (no real order): UW-Mil (favorite for awhile but not as much anymore apparently), Duke (allegedly fading out), Us, Kentucky, Northwestern, and UNC
