You now have 6 transfers and a decommit. All really good players, except Sodom. I wonder what the feeling is on campus. Surely students must have spoken to the transferees and discussed with their fellow students what these guys are saying. Anyone on this Board ever get feedback from kids on campus? The Hoya or Casual Hoya ever written about this? You are very possibly overestimating how many students care about why players are leaving, especially players who have had off the court incidents.

Encouraging news on Mac; certainly better than being ruled out early and at least much more promising that if he does miss tomorrow, that will probably be the extent of his absence.
I still do think tomorrow night is a game we can steal. Mamu's size and skill presented a difficult matchup for us last year and really hurt us; his absence will help a lot even if Powell is back.
We have to do a better job of getting Yurt established early against the SHU bigs. They are big time shot blockers, but the onus is on Allen (and to a lesser extent, Mosely) to make the correct decisions with the ball (good entry passes + proper spacing), penetrate to get the defenders moving, and stay away from turnovers. One of the things we did well during the winning streak was to stay away from turnovers. We've gotten away from that the last 2 games and it's something we should focus on as being easily correctable.
Another thing I'd like to see tomorrow night: a better job of crashing the glass. We've been one of the best teams in the country this year at offensive rebounding (14th nationally), but the lack of effort against Providence really prevented us from getting those 2nd chance buckets that we've been really hurting teams with. Everyone's got to do a better job here.
Realize that Seton Hall is a really good defensive team, but their offense even with Powell back is suspect. Our guys have to go into Pru with their hardhats and have the mentality that there's a good chance that this is a rock fight and that they can still win if that's the case. If the belief is there, I think we have a decent shot.

Seton Hall -2.5. Can that be right? I'm seeing 6.5 (in line w KenPom / Barttorvik) and doubt it moved that much within the hour

Seton Hall -2.5. Can that be right? KenPom says Georgetown is 27% with a 79-71 projected margin for Seton Hall.

We’ve overcome worse odds than that to win games this year. All we can do is hope our surrounding cast in Mosely, Picket and Blair step up and do their thing.

GAMEDAY!!!
This one will be a true test: SH is a good defensive team inside and out, Powell is nearly unstoppable on offense, and playing on the road is never easy in the Big East. If Mac is out or we are wearing the teal jerseys then this will be more then an uphill battle from the tip. All we can hope for is that the guys come out with energy, focus, and teamwork. We need to be the first to the ball every time, first to the rebound, and first up the court. Even with Mac this will be a battle so we need the whole team to show up ready to fight. Yurt needs to attack the basket, that will open up his turnaround Js. Pickett needs to impose his length. Allen, Blair and Jagan need to keep the ball moving and trust their shots. While SH is the second best team we will have faced (after Duke), this game IS winnable. Show up with attitude and play as a team and we have as good of a chance as any.
GO HOYAS!

Without McClung it looks incredibly difficult to stay close. With McClung, it is still necessary for the Hoyas to get Yurrtseven much more involved, much earlier than on Tuesday night. Pirates have two bigs and 10 fouls between them to defend Yurtseven. This would be a great game for McClung, Pickett, Blair and Mosley to hit some early perimeter shots and stretch the Seton Hall defense a little. Allen needs to go back to the role of distributor. Hoyas need to improve on their league worst defense. Now I am depressed.

I'll be optimistic and say the 1st half performance against the Friars we saw, will be the worst we'll see this big east season. Go Hoyas! Pull the upset!

Such a late start! Worth it though being on FS1 and not relegated to streaming services. Hope Yurt shares some Turkish Coffee to keep the guys going all 40 minutes.
