Based solely on the stats available online, here's some of the guys final numbers for Kenner
Akinjo: PPG 21.8 RPG 4.1 APG 5.6 3PT% 42 2PT% 44 FG% 43 Gardner: PPG 19.6 RPG 11.4 APG 2 3PT% 26 2PT% 60 FG% 51 Blair: PPG 17.8 RPG 4.2 APG 4 3PT% 30 2PT% 58 FG% 41 Allen: PPG 9 RPG 4.7 APG 5 3PT% 6 2PT% 48 FG% 37 Yurt: PPG 28 RPG 10.8 APG 1.6 3PT% 25 2PT% 69 FG% 65 Alexander: PPG 17.1 RPG 6.2 APG .9 3PT% 29 2PT% 45 FG% 38 Pickett: PPG 14.6 RPG 6.2 APG 1 3PT% 40 2PT% 54 FG% 48 McClung: PPG 23.4 RPG 4.4 APG 3 3PT% 29 2PT% 48 FG% 43
Just based off the numbers, it seems that Gardner really outplayed Pickett and Alexander. More points, way more rebounds, more assists, and a much better shooting percentage inside of the 3 point arc. Allen's 3 point % was beyond bad. Alexander didn't even average 1 assist per game and only shot 1% point higher than Akinjo from inside the 3 point arc... his team also performed the poorest. Yurt was unstoppable inside. Blair surprisingly shot 58% from inside the 3, but shot pretty poorly from outside. I realize these games don't mean much, but still interesting to look at.

Not that, as pointed out, these stats mean much, but one must also consider that none of the Friday games got any coverage. One fantastic game from Yurt was thus not included and Gardner's highest scoring game of 31 points (and thereby his shooting percentage, rebounding, passing) wasn't taken into consideration either because it occurred on a Friday evening. Also we don't have an idea of how well (if at all) Akinjo played on the night his teammate Gardner out up those 31 points.

I appreciate the stats and they are interesting to review.
My personal belief is that only very high level, directional conclusions can be drawn from Kenner.
My take-always this year are that Wahab, Gardner, and Alexander all seem to have the ability to make positive contributions for the upcoming season. And Yurtseven seems to be a legit starting Big East center.
To be honest, that’s as good as I could have hoped heading into summer league play.

The only thought I would add to this: Allen will be a valuable contributor off the bench. He'll add a defensive dimension we have not had from a guard in recent years, and he'll provide solid, fast paced leadership to the offense when Akinjo is out of the game. He should allow us to keep Akinjo and Mac to 30 minutes or so a game - keeping them fresher both within the game and over the course of the season.

Did you actually have doubts about Yurtseven being a starter in the Big East when two years prior he was an effective starter in the more talent-loaded ACC?

He was a year removed and an unknown to many of us. Great to see in person and get the positive Kenner reports.
Again, high level take-aways.

If we get 16 and 8 out of Yurt and some solid defense....I think we would all be very happy.

Is it a good assumption that no g'twn player competes tonight and friday as well or is it just the weekend games? I think it's safe to assume that Georgetown players are done with Kenner for this summer. I guess I was wrong. Akinjo and LeBlanc apparently played tonight based on the Kenner Instagram story.

Thank you for the video. I saw LeBlanc in the opening sequence with the put back and in the last sequence with the tap-in for the win, any of our players in the other highlights? My eyes must be getting older....

Kind of odd that some players are playing after that tweet from Thursday.

So the one time the team was somewhat transparent it turned out to be a lie. Just when I thought they were turning the corner.

Well the tweet is still up, no correction tweet was made and players are playing therefore the tweet looks like a lie.
