MG was one of a kind and could have been a special NBA player. Absolutely! I wonder if there is a way that he could become even more plugged in at Georgetown? How old do you think he is, now? Must be in set with PE. he is a season ticket holder from what I understand.

No joke. You’re a nobody juco who hasn’t stepped foot on campus and you’re running your mouth about the best team in the country who may or may not decide to give us a game. You may think it’s refreshing but anyone outside or a few Hoya fans will laugh at this. Bet coach tells him to pipe down. Hoyas haven’t earned the right to talk junk. Respectfully, go be a Duke fan.

Love Galen's excitement and confidence! What Would you expect him to say when asked about possibly playing Duke? Would you be happier if he said the goal is to not lose by 30? Also doubt Duke playing in MSG in November would need to use a comment an opposing player said in an interview about his commitment 9 months earlier to get them hyped and ready to play...

That’s what you took out of this? That I’m not worthy of being a Hoya fan and that I should go cheer for Duke? Don’t be so obtuse.

This isn’t bulletin board material. Don’t think anyone on either side is going to get relied up. Just would rather our actual players, guys who have actually played games for the program be the ones putting stuff out there. For all we know this mid level juco is going to play 6 minutes a game. Why haven’t any of our current players been running their mouths about the top team in the country? It’s because they know it makes them look like a mid level nobody juco. I hope Alexander comes in here and helps lead the program to new heights. But earn it first.

Respectfully, go be a Duke fan. That’s what you took out of this? That I’m not worthy of being a Hoya fan and that I should go cheer for Duke? Don’t be so obtuse. So because Galen believes we can beat Duke (which we can without Zion) and you’re scared of them we should all pump our brakes? Lay off the kid, having confidence is part of sports. What he’s saying isn’t even all that controversial. Also, nobody is paying attention to it it’s not that serious. You’re gonna need to calm down because that’s what a winning attitude looks like and between he, James and Josh I expect we’ll be seeing it a lot next year. I’m cool with that. Also, again, just because you can’t follow your own conversation doesn’t mean you need to throw around terms you don’t even know how to use properly haha. Not being obtuse, you just seem to have more confidence in Duke’s ability to win a game against us. Don’t know what else that points to.

Are the comments more "acceptable" since Duke should have lost to UCF?

If you don’t know labels don’t mean anything in life by now then I don’t know what to tell you. No need to disparage our own player, sheesh. Again, am I obtuse in believing you don’t really believe in our program? Galen is now a part of the culture.

The point of bulletin board material is to get the team hyped and riled up for the game. I bet if you asked any of the returning players they would answer the same way. You gotta be extremely confident in yourself to play at that level. I'm sorry your scared of Duke but doubt the players are. Sorry you have been beaten down so much and have so little confidence in the program that something like this has you all Riled up...

Your wrong. This isn’t meant to be mean, but have you ever won anything of athletic significance at a high level? Or been a part of a team that was close? Trying to understand where the confidence in your perspective is coming from Also, are you or are you not afraid to play Duke? You’re coming across like you think it’s a forgone conclusion we would lose, despite not knowing half the variables that will be in play in 8 months...

Spent 20 years covering an NHL team as a reporter. Been around high level professional athletes for a long time. I’d love to play Duke. No problem with our kids being confident about playing anyone or thinking they can beat them. I just don’t think a player who hasn’t even stepped on campus yet or even practiced with the team has earned the right to be talking junk about the top team in the country. Guess that’s just the hockey player mentality in me...rookies keep their head down, defer to the vets, don’t run their mouths and certainly don’t chirp the better teams.
