Man, Harvey Thomas. That's a name I've not heard in a long time.

And his brother, who was a frequent poster on this board back in The Day with the old board format that I wish still existed.

Man, Harvey Thomas. That's a name I've not heard in a long time. I thought I’d bring out a couple of chestnuts. Harvey was a fascinating player, but it’s hard for me to remember anything about him so much as how he almost singlehandedly blew a 6 point lead for us in the final 12 or so second of a Nova game in philly. IIRC, we lost in overtime after that.

These recognitions are nice but they aren’t always rational. At least LeBlanc got picked. Otto Porter inexplicably got totally left off in 2012.

Man, Harvey Thomas. That's a name I've not heard in a long time. A couple of summers ago, Harvey Thomas showed up to play in a few Kenner League games. Still very thin, very athletic, and very undisciplined in his play!

Get well soon, Josh. We need you next year. I took the picture below as the team was warming up for the second half. Josh and Jessie having a moment on the bench before Jessie started his warmups. Attachments:

Josh is the heart and soul of this team. He came up to me as I was sitting front row center court to give me a fist bump and was smiling from ear to ear. Not only a great talent but a wonderful guy.
Sky is the limit for the kid...could be looking at a first team all BE type of performance from him next year.

Hope he is OK - that was a mighty big ice pack on his lower back and a mighty old timer’s gait coming out of the halftime locker room.

A relief that it is not more serious. But that is a painful injury that can linger, we'll see about the NIT, at least the first week.

Glad to hear that Josh should be ready for NIT...we need him and I'm sure he wants to play...

Just great to know it wasn't worst. Josh is a serious competitor and an inspiration to other players.

A guy like that isn't sidelined easily. He had to be in a lot of pain. I'm hoping he's feeling a bit better already.

Josh has landed on that tailbone a few times this year, I wouldn't be surprised if it was already bruised before Thursday. That is one of the biggest risks with his high flying game, I hope he stays healthy.

I would hope Josh will be at full speed from the injury but I would not be surprised if he is not this soon.

www.nbaanalysis.net/2018/11/16/2019-nba-draft-stock-watch-high-flying-freshmen-rise-up-boards/Nov 16, 2018 Josh LeBlanc, Georgetown (FR) A four-star recruit out of Baton Rouge, Josh LeBlanc didn’t crack the ESPN’s Top 30 recruits in the East region. The 6-foot-7, 210-pound freshman forward has already made a marked impact on the Hoyas, though. LeBlanc has only played three games but his statistical indicators are auspicious. A .791 true shooting percentage, 8.3 block percentage and 3.5 steal percentage (per Sports Reference) are encouraging. LeBlanc hasn’t attempted a three-pointer but his stroke looks alright and he is shooting 71.4 percent from the free throw line. It is really too early to evaluate using any statistical models but the tape has been impressive. On the defensive end, LeBlanc’s combination of frame, athleticism, effort, and instincts make him a solid individual defender and a game-breaking off-ball defender. LeBlanc has made multiple excellent instinctual plays, including an impressive off-ball steal and a transition layup. On offense, LeBlanc often looks lost and wanders into the way of the play, disrupting the flow of the offense. He hasn’t had much of an opportunity to showcase his offensive skill set in Georgetown’s offense but he looks like he has some solid passing instincts. On the offensive glass, his impeccable motor and athleticism will lead to a bevy of highlight putback dunks like this: Josh LeBlanc probably isn’t a 2019 NBA Draft guy due to his limited offensive game and possible lack of exposure. However, he has the base of a bankable NBA skill set and the freshman trio of him, Mac McClung and James Akinjo will be exciting to chart over the coming years.

Would love to read a followup analysis from the end of the season. Josh was doing a lot more shooting from the ft line out to the 3pt line....with all of the other intangibles...even the low post game was getting better....

LeBlanc's freshman numbers were absolutely fantastic - 124.9 efficiency (can't think of another Georgetown freshman who played that much and had a better efficiency), he shot 62.6% from two, and 5-7 from three, and his turnover rate (especially in conference play) was super super low (5th best in the conference). Not to mention among the best defensive numbers on the team. Nothing against Akinjo at all, but LeBlanc arguably deserved the Freshman of the Year award, but we are lucky to have both of them. When you look at these numbers and consider the offense essentially never ran plays for him, it's makes it all the more impressive.

Yes, once Leblanc expands his game even more and he's comfortable in shooting at the 3pt and a good clip. His stock will just rise from there.
