Young man seems to have all the skills the Hoyas need from Pickett this year. I hope the staff can close the deal. Oldhoya you summed up my thoughts almost exactly. I see Myron as a perfect merge of Jagan and Morko. Morko's skillset with Jagan's toughness....I want this kid....

He is athletic, aggressive and seems to play with a really high motor. His rebounding stats are really good, but I think I read somewhere that he is really only about 6' 4", so those stats might not translate completely to the Big East. He finds way to score, but as other posters have noted I would like to see more highlights him taking, and making, perimeter shots. The college game, and the system Coach Ewing wants to play, now depends on players being able to make 3 pointers to open up the rest of the floor. Don't get me wrong I like the player and hope he becomes a Hoya. I think he could be another Trawick type player for the program, but I do hesitate thinking he is going to provide the offense we all want Jamorko to show on a consistent basis

I agree bostonfan...the first question Lute Olson used to ask of his Assts about a recruit was, "Can he shoot"?...that's critically important in today's college game...Myron seems to have the other ingredients PE seeks (athletic, aggressive, high motor, toughness, rebounding, etc.)...

LaBlanc is not a shooter, so you need your other guys to be able to hit open looks at a good clip. Gardner could be a good add though.

one thing the Xavier game proved is that Leblanc still neeeds to get stronger.

Mac is really a very good outside shooter. I looked at his Overtime Challenge and he nailed most of the 3 point challenge shots under considerable pressure. He's got a much better shot than most people give him credit for. He reminds so much of Steve Nash. Same height, same grit and hustle, same relentless drive to the hole, great passer and a winner's attitude! Everyone's noticed how big a shadow he's left on the court.

If he was a more reliable three point shooter PE would be standing right next to Tom Izzo in that frame! Next year I foresee a lot of traffic in the paint, we as always, still need shooters from the outside to open up the paint.

PE should be standing next to Izzo or show up there in person at another time soon. The guy is a player. I only saw him shoot one jumper which he made. But handles the ball well, goes to the hoop and is very physical on the boards...he's fine when dealing with contact. He plays sf, and doesn't seem to shoot much outside in that offense.

This is the kid I want to fill that wing spot next year. For all the talk about needing shooters (and of course they’re very important), this team has a bunch of guys that can knock down outside shots. It’s not like we’re starved for 3 point shooting. What this team needs imo is a kid on the wing who can get to the hoop, play tough defense, and not get bullied in the BE. Defense is a question mark for almost all incoming freshmen, but the tools are there. Outside of Mac, do we have anyone that can get to the hoop and finish consistently? This kid sure looks like he’ll be able to do it at the BE level. With both hands.
Plus his shot isn’t broken, it just needs some refining and shooting is one of the most coachable skills. We’ve seen plenty of guys improve their shooting from year 1 to year 2 and beyond.
I love this kid’s upside. I give him the edge over Shannon.
