Wish Gtown could have gotten one of the Texas teams instead of OSU but it's an away game so that helps I guess...

12-20 record this season. It's on the road, so if they improve some, it could be a Quad 2 game...
Hope the Big 10 (Gavitt) opponent is better so that this one just takes place of Illinois last season in terms of difficulty level

As of now they only lose one rotation guy and he was bottom of the rotation. They are bringing in a solid recruiting class. Unless they add some good transfers this should be on the level of the Illinois game.

They should be decent, but I hope this isn't a consistent schedule. Get UMD, Cuse, Memphis and some other good teams.
They will be better than last year, where they showed promise and do bring in a solid recruiting class, but a team expected to finish in the bottom of the league for sure. I would've liked a West Virginia game because the two programs are going in the same direction, had some rough seasons but are back to cause damage. Thought that would be an excellent start for one of the two.
I also am expecting the Gavitt Games Announcement to come out later this month and hope to get UMD, big time.

Wish we were swapped with DePaul.

Might have to make the road trip...not sure if I'll ever have another reason to go to OK.
Definitely a solid OOC match-up but I hope we have at least 2 higher profile.

They better get some decent non-conference games on the home slate...

The Gavitt games was not designed solely for specific rivalries (e.g., Georgetown-Maryland, Creighton-Nebraska, Marquette-Wisconsin, Seton Hall-Rutgers, Xavier-Ohio State, Butler-Indiana, DePaul-Northwestern, Villanova-Penn State) but to rotate games across the conferences. If Georgetown wants to play Maryland, they know the number. Best case: Michigan State at Capital One Arena, where Izzo (and Carey) return to the site of their regional championship win. Worst case: A road game at Nebraska. Likely case: A home game against a middle of the pack Big Ten team like Iowa or Minnesota that the ticket office will promote as "the big game" on the non-conference schedule, amidst the usual Big South and MEAC opponents.

Wish we were swapped with DePaul. DePaul versus a Final Four team? How did that come about? I expect OSU to be quite a bit better next year, but would have liked West Virginia, due to the history there. Hoyas v. Huggie Bear always a good matchup.

Tied for worst case might be a home game against Rutgers.

Isn't Michigan State always out of the Gavitt games? I thought they were always omitted for the Champions Classic. Also, I know the games weren't specifically designed for rivalries, but still Georgetown needs to play UMD every year and this is the easiest way to get them. I'm feeling an uptick in the NCSOS this year and a game against a good B10 team would be a nice start. I just want to face UMD, and I don't think there's any chance that we'd play a non conference game outside of the Gavitt against them.

I looked at some fan expectations of Oklahoma State and the big 12 entirely. People are expecting a down year for that conference this upcoming season as of right now. I've seen some people say that Oklahoma State could be in the top half of the conference and will most likely be in the middle of the pack. Granted, all of the people I saw have a take on Oklahoma State were fans. It's something to monitor as a good win could go a long way early in the season. Really hoping for a massive schedule tune-up this year. Cuse, Memphis, and UMD are teams I want to see.

Oh yeah the last time we faced them, we were down 30. This is absolutely a tough game on the road. Oklahoma State doesn't need a down year to compete in the Big 12. They're routinely a good team.
