Don't think he vibes to grown. We got Akinjo and Mcclung for another 3 yrs as starters, plus Mosley and Blair as backups I hope the staff can still convince him, or some other strong ball handling guard, to come to Georgetown. The team really needs another competent ball handler to go along with Akinjo. When he comes out of the game things get a little sketchy against pressure defense!!! Illinois had at least 2 guys last night that seemed really strong with the ball and I think one of the their best guards did not play. I am sure Coach Ewing would be thrilled to find another PG he can trust, because I think Akinjo shoots it well enough to play off the ball some times.

Memphis seems like the are the new hot team on his tail. They are in favor on the 247 Crystal ball. Plus they are the local hometown team.

I can see coach Ew running a 3 guard set at times, and also in the event of foul trouble you need the multiple ball handlers.

What happens if injuries occur? Last night’s game has me even more convinced we need another ballhandling guard who can play the point for ‘19. Mac has a lot of ability but his greatest asset is always going to be scoring.

Not because we won or the style of play but because of the possibility of real early pt...don't know if you watched last night but there was a time in the 2nd half when Coach tried to rest James and Mac and things got ugly quick. Jagan and Jahvon aren't running anyone away with pg skills....

Don't think he comes to gtown . We got Akinjo and Mcclung for another 3 yrs as starters, plus Mosley and Blair as backups We definitely won't have Akinjo for another three years....why don't you let things play out a bit, instead of blanketly declaring negative stuff about our chances in every single recruiting thread. Your act is tired

Akinjo at least stats til he is a junior. But in today's era who knows'. He has to ask himself how many 6'0 guards get drafted in the first round? Not many...

People are leaving out that Baugh at 6'3 is an elite defender...seems to fit the "toughness" mold that PE likes...there's definitely a role for him for those reasons, as well as his ball handling...I would agree that it appears that Memphis is likely in the drivers seat with their location and recent offer...unless there are other elements to his recruiting such as academics, conference affiliation, family support/ties, etc...

I think you guys are forgetting we are in the top six for Anthony. ...glad you mentioned that. Anthony has all season to monitor the Hoyas's progress. I think this helps us honestly. Keep winning.

So you’re projecting him to DEFINITELY go pro, in 2 years or less, based on AAU and high school? Kenner? Am I the only one seeing this?

Am I the only one seeing this? I'm not going to get into a back and forth with you over this. Akinjo has the speed, quickness, ballhandling, playmaking and defensive ability to play at the next level. He's good enough to get there before his senior season, if he works hard enough. That's my opinion. If you think differently, that's cool.
