A more efficient backcourt definitely would help. But three of our biggest TO machines were: Govan 52 Marcus 63 Pickett 73 They accounted for 188 of our total 458 TOs on the season, 41%. Turnovers are a team issue - takes teamwork to reduce. Hoyas averaged 15.3 Opponents 12.6 Due to the weaknesses of last year's roster, those three had to handle the ball a lot. This year, with Mackinjo, I expect the ball to be more in the guards' hands and eliminate some of those TO's. Plus, last year, we again sucked in steals as we were ranked dead last in the BE and tied at 257 with Hampton and Presbyterian(!). Mackinjo plus Leblanc change that too. I expect those numbers to turn around in GU's favors. My memory tells me that Pickett was much better in the 2nd half of the season in terms of turnovers. I think there is a good chance he improves dramatically this season as well.

lol @ Mac not scoring 10 baskets that aren't dunks......all season.....😂 After one half game, only 9 more non-dunk baskets needed to outperform that mark. After one full game, 8 more needed.

Exceeded last year's average turnover number by 25% against mighty UMES. Have to do WAY better than that.
