Dang. Just looking at that picture is depressing. More bodies on the court than in the stands. Gotta win...

Man I would love to matchup with enfield again... GTown owes him for the dunk city days at fgcu... but being a optimist, I predict a higher seed for our Hoyas.... Tuesday can't get here soon enough....đ

"After finishing sixth in the Big East standings last season, Georgetown will again face strong competition in the conference." But that this was true. Maybe the writer of this quote skipped the ending of our overtime games.

This is the interview I found most interesting earlier this week... I have no idea what either will bring to the team on the court this season but both seem determined to help the younger players grow in the program which could be just as important as on-court production in the longterm...

Can't say they didn't choose the right header photo for last season.

Patrick Ewing is more comfortable in Year 2 at Georgetown, down to the size-XXXL couches, by Ava Wallace, The Washington Post "Theyâll be more balanced between post and perimeter play as Ewing has more confident in wings including Pickett, senior Kaleb Johnson and transfer Greg Malinowski. Freshman guards James Akinjo and Mac McClung as well as sophomore junior Jagan Mosely shore up the Hoyasâ backcourt and will aim to lower the 15.2 turnovers per game they averaged last season.
Ewing sees those perimeter players meshing well with Govan, the team linchpin who averaged 17.9 points and 10 rebounds last season and was named to the preseason all-Big East first team."www.washingtonpost.com/sports/2018/11/04/patrick-ewing-is-more-comfortable-year-georgetown-down-king-size-couches/

He wants the team to play even faster than they did last year, so theyâre running more, and as a coach, heâd like to be more involved with fundraising now that he has his feet under him.Interesting, wonder what PE wants to do with the additional funds...

But three of our biggest TO machines were: Govan 52 Marcus 63 Pickett 73 They accounted for 188 of our total 458 TOs on the season, 41%. Turnovers are a team issue - takes teamwork to reduce. Hoyas averaged 15.3 Opponents 12.6

I would imagine private air transportation during the off season for recruiting purposes might be high on the list. It does provide a huge advantage especially going forward in the new (and somewhat chaotic/confusing) NCAA controlled live period events. Almost a must if you want to compete at the highest levels of college basketball recruiting...

Johnson was still in a boot as of last week so I think Leblanc or Mourning starts at the 4. Excited to see the squad, especially the freshman. Will be there in the 200's for the 10th straight season.

A more efficient backcourt definitely would help. But three of our biggest TO machines were: Govan 52 Marcus 63 Pickett 73 They accounted for 188 of our total 458 TOs on the season, 41%. Turnovers are a team issue - takes teamwork to reduce. Hoyas averaged 15.3 Opponents 12.6 Due to the weaknesses of last year's roster, those three had to handle the ball a lot. This year, with Mackinjo, I expect the ball to be more in the guards' hands and eliminate some of those TO's. Plus, last year, we again sucked in steals as we were ranked dead last in the BE and tied at 257 with Hampton and Presbyterian(!). Mackinjo plus Leblanc change that too. I expect those numbers to turn around in GU's favors.
