I hope he also takes a long look at what Amaker has done w the talent he has landed. Not that Ewing has a track record in this area yet but...
Amaker has landed the #1 recruiting class in the Ivy League 4 of the last 5 years. Specifically the 2016 class was ranked #25 in the nation. That class and Harvard hasn't been to the dance since 2015 despite having essentially far and away the best talent in the conference over the last half decade....

Given his list of schools he is considering, I'm not sure his primary concern is getting to the dance. There are a good number of top student athletes that just want to go to a great school and continue to play college sports at a high level (regardless of post season potential). Also, it is Harvard and I can tell you that they make a very strong pitch when they are sitting in your house and talking to you and your parents about what that degree means.

This is the height of fandom right here. It's so funny that I actually laughed out loud. I have no idea if he will end up at Harvard but to act like postseason success would even factor into that decision is something. Let's hope we aren't being held to the same standard right now by great students looking for a great academic institute to attend.

Let's hope we aren't being held to the same standard right now by great students looking for a great academic institute to attend. I think either I didn't state my point well or my comment is being skewed. I was simply trying to say Amaker has done nothing w the talent he has landed. I probably should not have included postseason success as that measurement. Yes this is an assumption but I am assuming that a Top 100 recruit regardless of his academic pursuits is also finding a school/coach that develops their game on the court. I don't think that's fandom I think that's reality and I guarantee he will have better exposure and opportunity competing in the Big East night after night then the Ivy league. Obviously he values education. Got it. I am simply stating I think there is a better blend of education and athletics at Gtown and frankly for basketball purposes better places than under Amaker. I am not in any way disputing the education Harvard provides and the future opportunities that presents...

Really locked in on high academic schools. Visiting Yale this weekend.... Reads like he's the ND lean that he's previously been reported to be... It should read that way if you consider what audience the article is written for? No other program was discussed except Notre Dame (their outlet) and briefly who he has already set up visits with (Harvard & Yale). He hasn't set up a visit to Notre Dame yet. He says he wants to but we've seen plenty of articles where the student-athlete says I want to visit a certain program and the next day eliminate that program from consideration. Can't clearly say who he favors or leans towards from this article. We will see how it shakes out. The only thing I took for certain is that he's enjoying his time so far at NMH and he and his parents are focused on finding a high academic program to play at...

Is there any indication that he's going to visit Georgetown?...I know that we had an in home and he said exactly the same thing as he did re ND...he's very high on my list but I haven't seen any indication that we're very high on his list (although I don't know why) or any reference to an impending visit...

He and his family are keeping decisions on schools being considered and visits very close to the vest. No cut or final list of schools or decision timeline. No tweets about impending visits. Just quietly going through the process. So we will see if staff is able to secure a visit I assume in the weeks to come...

This part of the article says a lot imo, if we read these comments about Gtown we'd feel very good about this recruitment... He took an Ivy League visit last week and has another planned for this week. “I visited Harvard this past weekend,” he said. “It was really good. This weekend, I’m going to be visiting Yale.” Notre Dame is hoping to get Ledlum to South Bend soon as well. “I’m definitely considering it,” he said. “I’m talking with my family and it’s definitely an option.” Ledlum added that he hopes to decide on that trip, “pretty soon. I’m not exactly sure when though.” “I like that they’re a great basketball and they’re great academically,” he said. “I would definitely just want to see how a regular day is as an athlete and as a student.”

More politically correct answers from someone trying to navigate the recruiting waters... Again, who is the outlet and intended audience? Highly Doubt Ron Bailey is going to write an article about how interested a Hoyas target is in Notre Dame?

The silent recruits are typically the ones where our percentage is higher. Stay silent young man!

If Ron Bailey wrote this same article but substituted in Gtown for ND, folks on the board would be very excited about the staffs chances.. To me it's more about what he's saying than who the intended audience is.. I'm not stating that ND is a lock but objectively they look to be in a good position with Ledlum..

Meanwhile he is actually taking OV's to Harvard and Yale. The only concrete info provided in the entire article that was confirmed is his trip to Yale this weekend and how his parents are really focusing him on the academics part of this decision. The rest is just click bait for the uninformed and uninitiated...

After reading it for a 3rd time, I can see that he's saying he's still deciding when he'll take the trip to ND.. With that context you're right, that there's nothing to see there.. Terrible reading comprehension on my part..
