While the practice facility is great and surely helps with recruiting, that was more a situation of going from the Stone Age (Yates/McDonough) to a modern facility on a similar level to a lot of other programs. Based on what I have seen from pictures, our facility is really, really nice, but still not quite at the level of extravagance you find at some of the football schools, where athletes have special dorms, special cafeterias, etc. Georgetown will never have those luxuries for athletes. Personally, I never want separate dorms/cafeterias for our Hoya student-athletes. I prefer that they be integrated into the student body as students first, athletes second. Dorms I definitely agree with but cafes or more to the point the availability to proper nutrition 24/7 has to be made to the athletes you're bringing in, if not you'll be behind the times... Cafes on most campuses aren't 24/7 so a separate spot for athletes is needed in my view... There's a reason PC put kitchens in the new facilities they just opened... www.thecowl.com/news/questions-about-new-ruane-friar-development-center-answered-an-inside-look-on-the-function-finances-and-fundraising-involvedThe new center features high tech equipment and high-quality practice facilities to provide student athletes with the best training and experience possible. The center includes study rooms accessible to all PC students, two practice basketball courts for both the men’s and women’s basketball teams, and a state-of-the-art weight room for the basketball teams and men’s soccer team. Other amenities include a cryogenic machine, massage chairs, sleep pods, kitchens, lounges, and a barbershop for all athletes.

Other than sleep pods, kitchen and barber shop I think IAC has most of what PC has (but not study rooms accessible to all students). No kitchen but I recall a snack station with hydration drinks.

No, I have not toured the IAC, I've heard it's crazy nice but it should have a dining area if it doesn't...

Pretty certain that it doesn't. But I see your point ( and that of jwp91). I got a tour at my 40th Reunion not because of my measly contribution to build the IAC!

There is about to be a tidal wave of players into the portal over the next week or two. This is why we need to resolve our coaching situation in the next 48 hours and at least get something in place with the next guy, even if it can't be announced until the next guy's season is officially over.
Ledlum would be great, by the way.

Not sure he has the elite athleticism to be a STAR in the Big East, but he would be a very useful player for a good team. Until Georgetown figures out who the next coach is going to be , I would not expect Ledlum, or any other possible transfer, to even consider the Hoyas.
