Seems a odd considering we just got the commitment from Wilson.

I like the news. Qudus seems like he's someone who could step in and make an impact as a backup in 2019, while Yurt7 is the man and Wilson either sits or redshirts. Then come 2020 he's ready to start with Wilson as a backup. [I'm assuming that we only get 1 year with Yurt7 actually on the court]

Let's play 4 mobile bigs and one guard to throw it up on the board and start the volleyball game!

Georgetown: “I feel like I can develop and learn a lot at that school. Athletically, I believe Coach (Patrick) Ewing can get me right and the academics are great.”
RIVALS' REACTION
Wahab is a hard playing, talented, and productive frontcourt prospect that can score with his back to the basket but can impact the game even greater on the glass and as a rim protector. Displaying soft hands, good reach and a quality motor, Wahab did not struggle to produce on the Under Armour circuit this summer as the We R1 product posted per-game averages of 8.1 points (51 FG percent), 8.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks.
Beyond Georgetown, each of his finalists have yet to hit with a frontcourt commitment this fall.
Expect for Wahab to take all of his official visits where a commitment and signing would not surprise in November.

It will be great to have this young man in the program. I'm going to be positive and believe he will join the Hoyas!

Wonder if this removes Eastern Lower Canada Community College from consideration for Wahab. . . .

Interesting. Possible Domino effect. I'm sure cuse is still gonna go after Wahab. Pittsburgh and Ohio St are ones to keep a eye on. Crystal ball has Pitt as a leader.

Looking at Pittsburgh roster, they are in need of a big man. They have no players committed yet for 2019 class. Coach Capel as always been a good recruiter.

Yurt7 has two years of eligibility and we signed two bigs already. The kids we are on might be better, but it’s got to be a deterrent for a recruit.

I believe so. Depends on what the staff is selling Wahab on. Both Wilson and Igohoefe are projects, Wahab is ready to play from the jump.

This could be true, but with the rumbling that Yurt might be eligible this year, coupled with questions of whether he might jump to the NBA after one more year, he might not be that big a deterrent. As for Malcolm and Ighoefe, neither one would take any minutes from Wahab for at least the first season, maybe even 2 seasons.

But where are the Yurt7 rumblings coming from? Anything being reported publicly?

Can anyone really say anything about time available. Igohoefe is an unknown. Everyone is determining his time without an idea of what he is like right now.
