The solution to a guy acting like he's above the law is not to let him continue to act like he's above the law. The House has an obligation to act and get all the evidence of his crimes on the table. 100 % agree. It is time to make the case.

The House has an obligation to act and get all the evidence of his crimes on the table. 100 % agree. It is time to make the case. From Jonathan Last at the Bulwark: "In order to force Republicans to turn on Trump, you're going need a videotape of the president handing Volodymyr Zelensky a satchel full of cash and Zelensky then giving Trump a folder. And Trump then would have to say something like, "Why yes, Volodymyr. This is the illegal information that I, Donald J. Trump, asked for you to obtain on my behalf for my purely personal gain that had nothing to do with the good of the country. And now I will take it to my secret lair. Thank you for colluding with me in order to influence the American election." And even if you had that tape, Trump would still get the support of 60 percent of registered Republican voters and hold onto to 40 votes to acquit in the Senate."That, and to deal with Sean Hannity saying, "Of course he took the money. He was doing it to help us all stop Hillary Clinton!"

Ryan Goodman:
My “favorite” part of this is that the two rationales contradict one another.
Yesterday: Why would anyone want to give money to a corrupt government
Today: I was trying to get other countries to do their share in giving money to the corrupt government.

Beep ** Beep ** Beep ** Beep... That's the sound of the McConnell truck starting to back away from Trump, probably won't be long before others start warming up their vehicles... thehill.com/homenews/senate/462828-mcconnell-i-was-not-given-an-explanation-for-ukraine-aid-delay"I was not given an explanation," McConnell told reporters Tuesday as the congressional furor grew over President Trump’s interactions with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. McConnell said he spoke to Secretary of Defense Mark Esper and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo twice about the matter without receiving clarification for the delay in $391 million in aid to Ukraine.
“I was very actively involved in advocating [for] the aid. I talked to the secretary of Defense, the secretary of State once,” he said.
“The good news was it finally happened,” he added, noting the administration finally released the aid. “I have no idea what precipitated the delay.”

Another reason why politicians should think twice before they get on social media, and then think again.

Another reason why politicians should think twice before they get on social media, and then think again. I'm surprised he didn't then add that Obama should be impeached retroactively. Also impeach Hilary as Secretary of State, since a Hilary reference always plays well.

WaPo outlines a sequence, involving: *The abrupt removal of the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine *The circumvention of senior officials on the NSC *The suspension of hundreds of millions of aid
This as key officials struggled to piece together Giuliani's activities from news reports.
This article should scare Giuliani and Trump because it shows there are lots of witnesses to their antics but anyone who's been paying attention knew this was the play from the beginning.

Fun Georgetown connection! The President threatens a current Georgetown professor with a political hit job.

They thought this "summary" was good for them? Oof..
Of course Trump's personal lawyer, Roy Co.. I mean William Barr would not open up an inquiry...
President Trump asked Ukraine's president to see what he could find out about Joe Biden's family activities in Ukraine, and be in touch with his lawyer and Attorney General Bill Barr, When President Zelensky asks for US defense assistance to protect against Russia, Trump responds: "I would like you to do us a favor...”

Who thinks this is proper for a member of Congress? Smh... Republicans. The President of the United States, and his cabinet. It's like the forget the President admitted doing it on national television and everything he's said appears to be more than true. Multiple crimes was committed by the President of the United States, and Republicans want to cover it up. It really is that simple.

I wonder when people will learn that the cover up is usually more damaging than the crime?

On that note remember when Trump met with Putin 1-1 and after he was one he took the translators notes and trashed them?...
Headlines from whistleblower complaint & Maguire: - WH covered up Ukraine call - WH did same for calls w/other leaders - DNI believes call transcript is “in alignment with” complaint - DNI asked WH first about releasing complaint - Trump still doesn’t believe Russia hacked DNC

Trump told a room full of U.S. diplomats that he wants to find out who the whistleblower's sources were and they were “close to a spy,” and that “in the old days” spies were dealt with differently. This is president basically saying in the old days we would have killed the whistleblower.

Interesting how Republicans are against "heresay" now but are all for the Bidens getting investigated for possible corruption...
Where's the credible info on the Bidens wrongdoing in Ukraine?
