Predictions (alternative, in chronological order):
1. Donald Trump will be convicted by the Senate, after trial on Articles of Impeachment, and removed from office. He will then be pardoned by President Mike Pence.
2. Donald Trump will be defeated in the Presidential election in November 2020, and will then resign as President prior to Inauguration Day. He will then be pardoned by President Mike Pence.
In either case, Mike Pence is going to be President within the next fifteen months. And Donald Trump is going to be pardoned.
EDIT: I have learned, courtesy of SSHoya, that the pardon power afforded to a president does not extend to impeachment. Hence, I am wrong as to prediction #1 already insofar as it posits that Mike Pence will pardon his predecessor in office.

Interesting how Republicans are against "heresay" now but are all for the Bidens getting investigated for possible corruption... Where's the credible info on the Bidens wrongdoing in Ukraine?

Trump told a room full of U.S. diplomats that he wants to find out who the whistleblower's sources were and they were “close to a spy,” and that “in the old days” spies were dealt with differently. This is president basically saying in the old days we would have killed the whistleblower. Isn't it actually worse than that? I think we are looking at the execution of both the whistleblower and his sources. In which event "I am not a crook" would be succeeded by "I am not a murderer." And 40% or so of the American public would agree.

Giuliani is doing a fantastic job implicating the State Department in the Ukraine scandal...

In this day & age of right-leaning folks, we have to give him props for pushing back in this clip...

1) Irony is dead
2) Why would they do that if they thought what the President said was on the up and up..
3) Why did we get a summary if the actual transcript exists..

Whistleblower: This was 'not the first time' under this Administration that a Presidential transcript was placed into this codeword-level system solely for the purpose of protecting politically sensitive... information."
Wouldn't this mean that there's a possibility both of these country's have compromising material on the President?

I'm curious as to how Trump's supporters in this thread are feeling about the latest developments. I don't mean that with an ounce of sarcasm.

It appears the Republican response is going to be to lie and make up random bs...
There appears to be two types of Republicans. The ones willing to tell bold faced lies on television, and the one that have no comment.
Lie.
Jim Jordan was like a tornado of lies in this interview.
Lindsey is making things up. The whistleblower complaint has been right on point so far. Can you name one thing he's got wrong up to this point?
Because they're dirty...

I'd love to know who Graham is talking about when he says "they"? www.politico.com/news/2019/09/29/lindsey-graham-whistleblower-ukraine-trump-010518Graham pushed back against host Margaret Brennan’s assertion the whistleblower complaint largely matches the White House summary of the call. The evidence laid out in the complaint, she added, is based on information gathered from numerous White House officials.
“This whole thing is a sham … Who is this whistleblower? What bias do they have? Why did they pick this whistleblower to tell a hearsay story? The transcript does not match the complaint,” Graham said. “This thing stinks.”

It's amazing how spineless the entire Grand Old Party has become. It's the Know-Nothings 2.0.

Trump using American diplomacy and the office of the presidency for personal gain again. In this case it was co-signed by the Attorney General.
If this is all legal and legit why are they hiding it until they get caught red handed? While whistleblower suggested some folks in gov were trying to limit Trump using his office in this way, the country's *top law enforcement officer* appears to have been actively encouraging it.
The irony: America’s top lawyer is the kind of partisan operative Trump wanted Ukraine’s top lawyer to be.
