IMG is pushing him hard to Maryland (under armour ties). Glad the staff is still pushing hard for him.... Hard to see Maryland being a fit with Morsell, Ayala & Smith being there to battle for minutes next to Cowan next season... But I'm sure folks will say they see similar issues @ Gtown... St. John's is maxed out at schollys for next year (13 if Ponds & Heron are off to the pros). Yeah I know scholarships are fluid. St. John's is also under armour so wondering how that plays out. Also surprised a little that Seton Hall isn't more involved with him. They are having a surprising good season and put on a show in front of him during his Maryland visit. I would imagine Powell's successes on the biggest stages this season has to be intriguing to recruits. To me it's a good thing he wants to come back for a 2nd visit to Georgetown. Hard to really get a strong read on him at all as the comments in the article were from one of his IMG coaches and not from him or his parents.

How would one compare Lester’s game to Greg Mal? Similar?? A lot of similarities. Both are tremendous shooters that can make plays off the bounce with sneaky athleticism. Similar size and quickness. Obviously Malinowski is a more polished player but Lester has more potential. A selling point is how much development Malinowski made in his redshirt year under the staffs tutelage...

Evans: Lester Quinones sits as one of the top available wing prospects this winter at No. 44 and I still don't understand why some of the country’s best have not pursued him further. He is a good sized, tough-mind and dual-threat offensive weapon that can really shoot it. LSU and St. John’s are the most talked about with Quinones. I could see few others enter the picture late in the process but either way, he has earned his ranking and my belief in him has not wavered. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-rankings-week-roundtable-on-updated-rivals150-for-2019

He's a predator-- got skills, size and attitude we need! Can anyone pull his coat? He's someone we could use on the team next year. He's got lots of offers, who can steal his attention for Hoyas?? We need to get his attention. Any thoughts? Alonzo?

Hopefully, we look like a team an elite wing like LQ would like to join.

Based on the last Rivals article, you would think it would be LSU, Maryland, Memphis, Michigan, Georgia, Miami.

I like his game but wasn't expecting him to commit, so fine by me. Ready to focus in on Gardner

Wonder if LSU is off his list now? I would keep an eye on Arizona & LSU commits as those should open up any day now unless another "strong ass offer" comes along.

Agree entirely on the Arizona and LSU coaching situations with regard to recruits. James Bishop - a current LSU commit from Baltimore - would be an interesting guy to monitor if Wade gets canned. Recent blurb from Rivals: James Bishop will lead all SEC freshman in 3-pointers made next year. Just as Florida went into Baltimore and nabbed what now is their freshman single-season record holder for made 3-point jumpers in Noah Locke last year, could another SEC program have a similar standout headed its way in Bishop? A three-level scorer at its finest, Bishop was born to put the ball through the basket as he came up a few points shy of the event’s all-time scoring record. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/alhambra-classic-eight-hot-takes

Bleacher just reported heavily considering Memphis and Indiana at this point.
Memphis lands him and Penny has then brought in a monster class...
