Akinjo should be on this list.. What list? My bad Hometown, I linked the wrong tweet in the previous post... Here's the correct one that has the Cousy Award list for the top lead guards in the country...

My bad Hometown, I posted the wrong tweet... Here's the correct one that has the Cousy Award list on it... Oh good, I thought I was going blind! Thanks. He definitely deserves to be on that list and I'm sure he'll be on the first in-season posting if the team preforms like we are all imagining.

I'm looking forward to this young man playing this year and his leadership. He has the heart of a lion. I want to see this team function well as a unit. They should really be prepared.
That list he is not on should inspire him even more to deliver!

He was really good last night. Even in the first half, when the announcer kept saying he was rushing things, I did not think that was his issue. The issue was no one, him included, could make a shot. James plays fast and aggressive and that is what the team needs him to do every night. He was also able to play some shut down defense at the end of the game last night on the kid from the other team that was scoring at will on whoever else was covering him for much of the game last night. His mindset on defense is very impressive.

One turnover - that is the stat that impressed me the most from Akinjo last night. He played a great game in the second half. Even when he had to force the action more, he still avoided turnovers.

Still learning to feel when he needs to get others involved vs. when he needs to score, hardest thing for a scoring PG to develop. But getting better and better at it.

Akinjo was simply awesome last night becoming the catalyst for the success of the team. Can’t wait to see what he does this year.

I thought his decision making before the run where he took the game over was still really poor. Very disappointed in the first half performance, but totally turned it around in the second half. Too many times pulling up for long 2pt jumpers on the break was one of his major issues.

When he ratchets up his intensity, there is no one else like him.

When he ratchets up his intensity, there is no one else like him. Maybe we should arrange for someone to p*ss him off immediately before each game.

James seems off so far this season. Not as quick, not as confident. Maybe he is just holding g back while he tries to work everybody in,but we need more attitude from him.
