I'm glad Mac's dad said something... if he doesn't everyone is spending the next 6 months speculating on wether or not Mac is going to be eligible to play next year. He put the rumor to bed quickly, now everyone can move on. Ditto

This fan base just has to become accustomed to the way PE talks to the media. And stop the speculation about potential transfers or dismissals for academic or other reasons on public platforms. It just seems that his message to the players is direct and he sets a high bar for each of them. And he doesn’t deviate, even on public platforms. It is refreshing especially in comparison to his predecessor. Edit: just adding this interview where Ewing explains his tough love approach. (Or, why his players still love playing for him, despite the unvarnished truth) omny.fm/shows/tiki-and-tierney/patrick-ewing-georgetown-hoyas-basketball-head-coa

Once McClung works on his efficiency, and awareness on both ends on the floor. The sky's the limit for him and the program.

The sky is the limit for him, but he will have to stay ahead of the train so to speak.
If Alexander is what we hope and Pickett returns to form, a Akinjo/Alexander/Pickett/Leblanc/Yurtseven line-up could become pretty compelling especially on the defensive side.
He will motivation to keep working hard.

I see Alexander starting over Pickett. Mac will start. He needs to work on defense and shooting.

IMHO, Mac needs to work on "shot selection". His shooting is excellent, when he takes "good shots".

Mac still has a lot of stuff to work on, but that's a killer highlight reel for a three star freshman. Future is super bright for this kid.

These to young men are all hard workers, and will continue to improve.
My biggest concern is that with the intensity of many of these guys, they will beat the crap out of each other in practice!

Nothing wrong with intense practices, as long as it bear positive fruit for the upcoming season, the Hoyas will be fine. They will have to be on the same sheet of music in order to succeed.

It's nice they don't show many of the misses - still has to work on getting the 3 % better. Work on his dribble drives and shot selection and defense. He is very good now but the sky's the limit for him and Akinjo!

The ceiling is always higher for those willing to put in the work. Love it.

fansided.com/2018/06/21/drew-hanlen-nba-trainer-bamba-tatum-embiid/Here’s a look into Drew Hanlen. A three point specialist in college and great shooting coach. Love that Mac is working with him: Perhaps the greatest boost to Hanlen’s pedigree, though, was the nearly 50 percent he shot from beyond the arc as a senior at Belmont — the guard finished the 2012 season ranked second in Division I. “That has always been my MO,” Hanlen says. “I’ve spent much of my life tweaking my shot — I know the things that are consistent with all great shooters — and Brad was the first guinea pig. It’s why he and I have such similar shooting forms.” “The Celtics highly value the 3-point shot, so Brad and Danny wanted Jayson to work on knocking down more 3s off the dribble and side stepping.” And as someone who used to devour game tape of the NBA’s greatest shooters, he also refined the lottery pick’s shooting mechanics, widening Tatum’s shooting base while lowering his shooting pocket and tweaking the rhythm to more fully connect his legs to his motion. To be fair, Tatum’s work ethic largely shaped his transformation into arguably the NBA’s most exciting rookie, but Hanlen’s guidance helped fuel that rise.
