Mosely is a senior and was ranked as the 30th best SG and unranked nationally in his class. Harris is ranked 15th best SG and 78th nationally by ESPN. Plus, he’s local and a TTO kid.

Were we involved seriously with Harris prior to his VT commitment? We obviously have shown an ability to get in on decommit players when we weren't (James, Pickett), but curious how we were viewed by Harris earlier. Always good to pull local recruits for future pipeline.

It'd be great to make inroads with Takeover...he's right in our backyard. Great look optics-wise...hope the staff inquires.

As others have stated, it would be nice to get a local/TTO kid, but that is not the only positive to Harris. He is a big time player who was the jewel of the Virginia Tech class. Harris would come in as the top player in our 2019 class as well and I think he would factor into the backcourt right away. Unless Blair takes a big step forward this offseason, Harris would be the first guard off the bench.
I don't see Harris as a pure PG like James, but he is more like Mac where he is a 2 guard who can handle it when needed.
THe current staff had offered him in Feb of last year, but I am not sure how involved the Hoyas were in his initial recruiting. I would expect the staff to be there on April 12th though and hope they factor in this time around. Worth noting that VT might not even have a head coach by then.. They are taking their time in the coach search.

Christian Webster was the assistant that led Harris' recruitment to Va. Tech. With Buzz's departure, he's now available.
IMO, if you bring in Webster, you land Harris. Upgrading the program in two areas seems like a no-brainer to me, especially if Cole is pushing up his announcement now with the PG situation at UNC resolved.

I don't know a tremendous amount about either. But from what I'm reading, it sounds like that combo is sort of perfect in the near term. If that happened before Cole's announcement, I'd be totally cool with that... 😎

I think Buzz is trying to bring Webster with him to A&M, but if that doesn't work out Georgetown should absolutely go after him. Getting Webster/Harris in one swoop would be huge. I think Webster could be an up-and-comer in the DC recruiting world, especially at Georgetown.

I suspect Mark Turgeon will be giving Webster a call too, assuming the rumors about Broadus taking the Morgan State position are true.

Do we have room on the staff right now to bring in an additional recruiter? I don’t see Pat bringing in an outsider though.

Looks like Mike Young kept Chris Webster on staff and they went in home yesterday with Anthony Harris. Good move for them. Keeping him committed sounds like priority number 1 in Blacksburg. Not the biggest need for the Hoyas right now, but Harris is a really good player so I hope we at least kick tires.

Didnt Webster's dad run the Kingman boys and girls club behind Logan Circle for years?
