Him and Morsell. Should be the local guards they should be going after in that 2019 class.

Finally! Big time kid. Going to go see him play some other future Hoyas next week against Dematha.

Since the offer came today, i am assuming he was at the game today? A really good game to have prime recruits watching......I feel really good about recruits being at any game for the remainder of the season. I can't wait for next year......

I’m with you zeke. We are good enough to play with and beat tourney teams....if one of Govan or Derrickson are back....i think we finish in the top half of the BE.

If the program can't get good students like Govan and Derrickson to come back despite no guarantee of even a second round selection, then that is a prime reason why the team doesn't finish in the top half these days of the Big East. Because the Villanovas, Creightons, Xaviers, Providences and Seton Halls do return for the most part their key players who aren't predicted to be drafted and only have a year of college to go.

Since the offer came today, i am assuming he was at the game today? Pretty certain that he was. Before tip off, saw Ronnie Thompson introducing himself to him and his family behind the bench.

While I generally agree, we have to recognize that some players leave for a variety of reasons, e.g. LJ having a child to support. I absolutely hope Doc and Jessie stay, but will not judge them or the program if they go. I would have to believe that Patrick is probably about as good as anyone in the college game today at being able to honestly evaluate the prospects of his players.

If either leaves early and don't get drafted then Ewing didn't do them any favors if he encouraged them to seek a professional opportunity. They are juniors who are a year away from graduation. Unless they can get some guarantees it would be better for them to stay. And btw are you suggesting that players for Villanova, Creighton, Butler, Xavier and Seton Hall weren't in similar positions the past four years and returned to school anyway? Maybe what those programs had was the benefit of creating an environment that was so enjoyable and beneficial to their players and so filled with on-court success and a sense of direction, that their upperclassmen happily returned for their final year. Even after winning a national championship in the case of Nova. If these guys were considered no-brainers in terms of getting drafted like Greg Monroe or Otto then I too would concede it would be best for them to go. But that's not the position Jesse and Marcus are in. This program is OVERDUE in having its two leading scorers, and upperclassmen to boot, return the following season.

I am not suggesting either will go, or should go. But if one or both goes - for family, financial or other reasons we may never know - it does not mean that Patrick or the staff encouraged him to go.

Why do you think Patrick would suggest they leave. In the long run their Gtown Degree will pay dividends! I don't believe he would make that recommendation. If they left for their own reasons, they could return in the summers to continue pursuing their degree requirements. Too early to talk about them leaving. We need a couple more commitments!
