While I generally agree, we have to recognize that some players leave for a variety of reasons, e.g. LJ having a child to support. I absolutely hope Doc and Jessie stay, but will not judge them or the program if they go. I would have to believe that Patrick is probably about as good as anyone in the college game today at being able to honestly evaluate the prospects of his players. Frazier, I agree with you. We've had a mass exodus lately, but that's an anomaly. One or two players left sporadically. But to lose so many recently, due to what, style of play and no hope [maybe], is not the trend we're on now. After three years of work, why leave except that if they are successful [in basketball venture] and on their way to matriculating, they can come back and finish their degrees in the summer.

Harris should be near the top of the board for us when you factor in position and location. Love his game, length and ability to create.
For what it is worth, the Virginia Tech insiders think he is a heavy lean for the Hokies

I feel like Harris is the guy we need. There have been so many good point and combo guards in the WCAC in recent years that we just haven't been able to reel in, from Hubb and Johnson in 2018, to Lykes in 2017, to Cowan in 2016, to Bryant Crawford in 2015, to Trimble in 2014, and on down the line. I think the last time we got an elite WCAC guard was the class of 2008 (apologies to Tre Campbell). It's one of the best leagues in the country, with high major talent every year, it's all Catholic schools, and it's in our backyard--just feels like time for us to break that streak. Hoping Harris is the guy, and the first of many in the Ewing era.

Tired of notre dame, nova, miami, nc state, xavier, penn st and to a lesser extent maryland from poaching us.

What about Morsell from St. John's..isn't he in the same class/same league/same position (combo guard)? With no inside knowledge, and not having seen either play, they seem to be very similar and equally talented...would be interested in a comparison from the "insiders"...maybe we're recruiting both and not exclusively...

Been saying this especially with guards. The only difference may be that I don't believe that Morsell is considered a point guard, and I believe this board is saying that Harris is a point guard. Morsell is surely a very excellent player, a dawg. I'm also sure they have been competing against each other in the WCAC for years. Morsell has been on SJC varsity since his freshman year. His brother played for SJC and now plays for Towson University. No doubt the Hoyas should try to get DC area players and WCCAC are some of the best competition in the area and the nation.

Harris slightly bigger and better of the bounce. Morsell is the better shooter of the 2...

Exactly..More Div. 1 basketball players come from the DMV from any state in the USA.

Exactly..More Div. 1 basketball players come from the DMV from any state in the USA. As pointed out earlier, this is inaccurate. Per capita, the Nation's Capital has a higher percentage, but in strict numbers, Texas and California are far ahead of DC or any of the other states.

WCAC has it's players, the public schools in the DMV do as well. Here's a scrimmage between a St. John's vs. Wise scrimmage Devonish is #1 and you know Morsell's from SJC's number. I know the Hoyas haven't recruited this kid, but I'd just thought I throw this out there.

My son, a recent WCAC product, says Ant Harris is more of a true pg than Casey, he gets to the hoop, doesnt shoot as much but has a good jumper Casey is more of a scorer, with a better jumper, echoing what YaBoy said earlier.
