Still no transfer landing for Carter as of the end of July. Could be a junior college at this point.

A little surprising. Has a serviceable shot for a guy his size. Thought a mid-major would have shown interest.

Agree. He did not seem overwhelmed during the limited minutes he had, although he got list a few times on defense. Maybe he has opportunities but is still figuring it out.

Must have been watching different games than I did. Seems like a nice kid from a good family. Basketball-wise, didn't offer much. Low-major or JUCO seems most likely at this point.

I'm not saying he looked like anything more than a 11th or 12th Big East player at best, or that a HM level is right for him, but he showed a decent looking stroke with some height that should translate at the mid-major level.

It would seem like a good academic school in his backyard like Rice would be a good fit where he likely could get some minutes...

Low major as expected, makes sense as a landing spot. Best of luck to the young man.

Only thing that was Low Major was Hoyaboya's comment...

The Sun Belt was the 17th ranked conference in 2019 RPI. Either way, clearly a more appropriate level for Carter than the Big East from a basketball standpoint. If I were him, I would have ridden it out and gotten a degree at Georgetown rather than transfer to UT-Arlington, assuming he had the option to do so. That said, the Hoyas are better off with the scholarship going to somebody that might actually contribute on the court.

Glad he's got it all worked out. Still at a D1 school, gets to play with a former teammate, and closer to home. Good for him

Wishing Grayson a successful basketball and academic career.

Best wishes to someone who gave his best when asked. Nothing like looking down on a teenager to make yourself feel better about your own life🙄
