i hope he rebounds here like he does in school Josh is the type of explosive athlete that the program needs to start adding on a regular basis. Really excited to see what he can do in the system that Coach Ewing is trying to implement.

If this injury lingers and as long as Jessie and Marcus stay, I would be totally fine with giving Josh a redshirt year to get to 150% healthwise and ready for CBB.

Too early to panic. More than 8 months to start of next season. Plenty of time to be ready.

What exactly is/was his injury...I know it was foot related (broken bone, tendon, sprain, etc?)...did he reinjure it upon return that explains the "He couldn't go...so we shut him down." was he brought back too soon? I hope not, and that this is more precautionary rather than an another injury to the same area...

The injury was supposed to keep him out for the season. He should have remained on the bench IMO. But if he is ready to go as a freshman at Georgetown in no way do we redshirt him, even if Govan and Derrickson return. The team will need what he can bring to the table.

Watching the Xavier game last night reminded me how excited I am to have Leblanc next year. Having a 6'7 athletic, tough competitor on the wing and inside will be huge for us.

I agree that Josh will be a valuable addition next year. I see him as a guy who will be an explosive finisher in transition and really good wing defender and rebounder. In a perfect world he would develop into what Naji Marshall has become. I know there were differing opinions on Marshall coming out of high school but he has turned into a really good player for Xavier and has a bright future. Taking the one red shirt year there has really helped him. I am not sure if Georgetown has enough depth on the team now to afford to have a recruit red shirt for a year now, and I doubt Leblanc would be a red shirt anyways, but hopefully in the next year this is a path theymight consider with some recruits who could use that extra year of growth and seasoning.
