He'd be a strong reserve. Good rebounder and assist man. I'd give him a couple of work outs. Would you?

Certain skills translate no matter WHO your playing against; there's a reason he's going on an official to Creighton and he's the type of guy that would hurt GU in the past. Went to Fordham but was academically inelligible... Hade long bch state and monmoth offers. mid-major, yes Absolutely - if someone can shoot free throws in D2, they're still going to shoot free throws in D1. But if you're shooting 31% from three in D2, you're not going to maintain that in the Big East against much faster, much taller competition. He has a few moves around the basket, but given how fast he moves there's no way he's going to be able to make those drives to the basket in the Big East from the key. I think he's probably on the level of maybe Trey Mourning - maybe better on defense than Trey, but Mourning has a lot more midrange game. I don't agree that the guy is slow and lumbering at all. We'll see what happens with him Now, the guy, Rooks, is slow and lumbering to me.

I'd rather have Georgie Jr. out there than a two-bit Venky Jois, no matter the consequences.

Texas... Transferring Mount St. Mary’s guard Elijah Long committed to Texas on Wednesday. The 6-foot guard from Mississauga, Ontario averaged 15.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.4 assists last season at Mount St. Mary’s. He will sit out the 2017-18 season per NCAA transfer regulations and will then have two years of eligibility remaining. “He chose them because he loved coach [Shaka] Smart’s style,” CIA Bounce director Tony McIntyre told ZAGSBLOG. “He felt like the expectations were realistic and that he could embrace the style of play and be successful in it immediately. He loved the vision and was comfortable with the staff.” www.zagsblog.com/2017/05/03/texas-adds-mount-st-marys-transfer-elijah-long/

Probably quite a bit given the Mount Saint Mary's kid has some nice numbers at a mid major and the Cunningham kid put up 3 points a game in high school.

Was Alstork at Georgetown this weekend? From reading his tweets, it seems like he was at Pitt and he hasn't been to Georgetown yet.

From the schedule I saw (Goodman ?) he arrives tomorrow... That would make sense. I was confused by the tweets that suggested that Carter and Alstork were at Georgetown with Sodom and Dickerson during the Celtics practice.

We should have a good pitch for Alstork as well, since he wants PT and exposure and an NBA system from the sound of it. He'd certainly start for us at the 2 or 3 and get a lot of responsibility. And obviously Coach Ewing has a lot of cred in terms of NBA coaching and experience.
