Okay, let's review the last few weeks in D.C. sports: --Hoyas lose their last six games and get bumped out of the BE tournament by ST JOHN'S. --Redskins fire GM because he's a drunk, a fact they knew when they hired him. --Our evil twin, Nova, wins BE regular season championship and demolishes Creighton for BE Tourney championship. Only 6 more easy wins away from second National Championship in a row, a feat we could have accomplished 32 years ago if not for NOVA! --Hoyas top recruit basically says, "I want out of this dumpster fire" --Oh yeah, a blizzard is heading our way on Wednesday. Have I missed anything? No just another March in Hoyaland. I'm over Nova winning last year and will root for all BE schools regardless of rivalries in the hope they continue to carry the flag until we can get ourselves back on track.

I just thought of something(s) even worse. Waters signs with Nova and Paul White leads Oregon to a final four.

Transfers wouldn't be a terrible thing. This team is practically talentless and now, with the Waters decommit, we're going to have less talent next year. It's more or less immaterial whether anyone transfers. I have zero confidence any player improves except Peak and a big "I don't know" on Mosley. Losing Peak would be a massive blow, but what's the difference between 9th and 10th? Regardless of who is coaching, there's no realistic path to a good team now for probably 3-4 years and that feels like a pipe dream in and of itself.
Thank God for VIllanova (shudder) and Xavier and Butler and so on. Without them, our program is literally done. But since the Big East has some cred, still, with the right coach, it can be resurrected. But it is going to be forever. One of the realest quotes I have seen, and you are talking about a death spiral

One of the realest quotes I have seen, and you are talking about a death spiral We are now three years from the NCAAs barring anything other than a miracle. I think any plan for a quicker path had to involve Waters, Peak, and a grad transfer really developing immediately in our system. Now you're literally talking about building a program from scratch no matter who the coach is.
