Who’s a good player comp? Looks like bit like Otto porter minus a few inches? Not an outstanding athlete but cerebral and can do a bit of everything? Having trouble getting too excited but sounds like he’s that type of player - not flashy but gets it done? Derrickson is closer comp but more of a player who can handle the rock and makes shots for himself. David West

I don't understand the labeling of Terrance; a 6'-6" power forward? What about his game gives him that description? Is that the role he played at Gonzaga and/or for Team Takeover? Can someone illuminate? I believe he will be a big guard or small forward for the Hoyas.

Yeah how is he a bigger Jabril Trawick when Trawick was 6-6 220 and a hyper athletic shooting guard/small forward.

Derrickson is closer comp but more of a player who can handle the rock and makes shots for himself. David West From his highlights he reminds me of one of the guys who got away from the Hoyas, Josh Hart. He appears to be a little bigger/stronger at this stage and probably more of a rebounder, but he plays with a great motor, always seems to be in the right place, has good athleticism while still playing under control and almost makes the game appear easy. I see he is listed as a power forward, but it looks like he could play multiple positions, all the way from a really powerful 2 guard up to a slightly undersized power forward. It will be exciting to see how the staff uses his skills and what role he plays for the Hoyas. A great start to this recruiting class!!

Feels like his commitment reconnected the city's fanbase, dc high school/aau scene and the enhanced allure of staying home to play for Georgetown...all in one. The perception of Georgetown locally has drastically changed overnight. All we have to do is consistently win at a high level and make the tourney. The stage is set.

“I loved what Georgetown showed me on my official visit. Coach [Patrick] Ewing has been recruiting me since my sophomore year and has been consistent,” Williams told Rivals. “I felt like I could fit their style of play better than the other options I had and that Coach Ewing can get me to the next level. I also get to stay home, which is another plus.”

yeah posters saying Trawick or Hart, I dont know what you are looking at. Terrence ain't that explosive an athlete. I actually like POD David West comparison. People act like we are calling him a slow power forward. West wasnt that at Xavier or New Orleans.

Having never seen him play and only watching highlights here and there ....would Eric Paschall be a reasonable comp.

I keep coming back to Grant Williams. Not nearly as good yet as Williams was, of course. But they seem to share some qualities: High skill level, good shooter, smart player, very solid/strong physically, undersized for traditional power forward, not as quick/explosive as a traditional small forward. I think there is some resemblance to Derrickson in his game as well.

Did I see correctly that he was already 2X All-Met 1st Team?

Third team as a sophomore. First team as a junior. Should be first team again this year.

I do agree with Williams comparison though. To get to Derrickson he would need to become a much better shooter which he certainly might. I actually like that he is undersized and not a hyper athlete. That means no matter how great he is in college the NBA won’t be beating down his door.

Did I see correctly that he was already 2X All-Met 1st Team? 2X first team WCAC 1X first team All Met I think that's where the confusion came in. Quite likely to be First team WCAC and ALL MET again this year.

Great get for the staff, particularly as a potential door opener locally. You have to love kids that are hard working and winners - Terrance fits this bill. Congrats to the young man, his family and the coaching staff. Go Hoyas!
