Can't box out the 5'10" Italian kid? Humiliating. There wasn't a Hoya within eight feet of him. He had the paint all to himself.

if it is any solace, nova should take a major step back after this season losing 3 of 5 starters including the killer named josh hart. Then again, so could Georgetown.

we were up 12-11 in this game. it's now 35-21 Somehow all without a TO being used.

Villanova has made 16 of its last 20 shots, including 5-7 threes. That tends to cancel out any drought that they might experience. When was the last time we had a stretch like that?

Thompson's defensive scheme is horrible We held them to 2 shot clock violations in the first few minutes. Scheme is fine, execution has disappeared

I guess this shows how smart I was to be optimistic. Sometimes watching us trade games and play competitively with a variety of opponents, I forget what the true top teams in college basketball look like. But the truth is there is a substantial difference between Villanova, Kentucky, Kansas, and the like and teams that are just good solid top 25 teams. We are nowhere close to these top teams. Not even close.

Remember when we thought Mulmore might be a good point guard?

Thompson's defensive scheme is horrible We held them to 2 shot clock violations in the first few minutes. Scheme is fine, execution has disappeared I love when people blame execution, as opposed to scheme, as if that somehow excuses JTIII. Coaches lose jobs because of poor execution. It doesn't matter what causes teams to play terribly - the outcome is (almost) always the same - HC takes the fall. Not in GU's case though.

Can't box out the 5'10" Italian kid? Humiliating. There wasn't a Hoya within eight feet of him. He had the paint all to himself. It started with Reggie being slow to double Hart. That left Jenkins open for a 3; our big had to rotate out leaving #4 alone on the baseline, so LJ slid done to cover him, leaving the guard free to crash the board. Reggie did that twice. Unfortunately his lack of quickness is a killer against a quick disciplined team like Nova.

I'm not trying to excuse JT3...it's his fault they're not executing either. But you can't deny the fact that we were playing good defense early then it fell apart.
