1). When this team shoots under 40% from the field and under 10% from the three point line, they aren't going to beat ANYONE in college basketball.
2). Someone tell me the last time Georgetown shot under 40% and won a Big East game?
3). This team can only win when it outscores the opponent. The lack of urgency that this team plays with and our inability to defend teams is only overshadowed by our complete lack of interest in attempting to rebound. If anything, this game is really an indicator of how far Seton Hall has fallen this year that it takes them overtime to beat us, a team that I still think will be fortunate to finish about .500 and even be eligible for an NIT bid this year. Absolutely sickening, but true.

I thought SH was a pretty meh team outside of Delgado. But, they will probably go to the tourney. That's how easy making the tourney really is.

I thought the guys played with great intensity today..battled on the boards and for loose balls...more so than in some of our losses. Obviously, its a loss to a very mediocre team, at home. As is echoed after most of our games, we really just do not get any point guard production whatsoever. They are not a threat to penetrate and dish or score. It is such a handicap.
I thought Marcus drawing those charges, especially with a second left was huge. Props to him for his effort. Honestly, if we hit just another 3 we win this game. IF, If If...that is what losing teams say, sadly.

Pryor had a rough game, but some people seem to be pretty harsh on him. He's outplayed Peak offensively the entire year. Peak did play well down the stretch in the last 2 games though. Our best player at scoring the basket is Pryor though. Peak is much better as a playmaker though. Benching Pryor for driving the lane and getting fouled is harsh. Our best shooter is Pryor. When he is hot. That is about all he gives us. LJ made 2 plays on the road to beat Depaul. Some guys can do that. Pryor missed an open jumper to win the game in regulation at home.

I just am resigned that I don't like his game. he is a me player in an offense that is a we offense. He could be 0-10 and still think let me shoot this contested three after 1 pass with 23 on the clock. or let me drive thru 4 guys even though I have no handle.

That's all fine and good, but in no universe is being surrounded by three guys "a clear lane." Maybe kick the ball out to Peak who looked to be pretty wide open? He was past his defender, the other guys was reaching in guarding the 3 point line (and fouled) and Delgado was slow coming over. He would have gotten a good shot or probably fouled (which he was) Again, we are going to have to disagree on the definition of what constitutes a clear lane. You and hoyanla are of the opinion that it was a good idea. I'd wager I'm not in the minority in thinking it wasn't. I've defended Pryor pretty regularly against critics on this board. Even so, I think that was a ball hog move especially when LJ was wide open. Should a foul have been called? Maybe. But it would have only bailed out Pryor after making what I think was not a good decision for our last possession.

Yeah I watched it again, the defenders were quickly closing on him. He does not have the quickness to blow by and get to the rim uncontested. But Rodney is what he is, we have to live - and sometimes die - with it.

Remember when Hoya teams were expected to play with effort and intensity, rather than being complimented for effort and intensity. Critical missed box outs and rebounds. It's not that they shot 1/19 from deep (5%) or 68% from the FT line, but rather the decisions that were being made. Forced shots, forced passes, lack of composure. Agree that Pryor tried hard today, but when he cannot shoot he is just a defensive liability. Can you teach composure? Can you teach finishing around the basket? Does any team miss as many of the putbacks as the Hoyas?

Where was our preparation for their post defense and offense. Delgado was a beast and we had no answer for him. A terrible loss to a team that was 0 and 5 on the road. Pryor was shooting blanks and LJ should have had the ball at the end of the game. Agau was a bright spot and deserves credit. We're in a bad place now and need a road win against Nova or Creighton [unlikely]to right the ship. The door is closing, so very sad.

Was Pryor driving the optimal play there maybe not, but how can you look at that pic I posted and say up until the point he was grabbed something positive was not about to happen. When you drive to the hoop no matter if it's the best play or not good things tend to happen especially once you beat your guy off the dribble. The rest of college basketball has figured that out. There is someone that hasn't.

I'm as frustrated as anyone but I really think that we played a very gutsy game. Crashed the boards, kept second chance points to a minimum. If I'm JT3 I'm thinking we did just what he wanted. But who can predict 1-19 from 3 or Delgado hitting 80% of foul shots..

Hate to say it, this is not a team that's headed for the tournament. We can't turn the corner. The two games against Creighton and Butler were nice, but they are more akin to beating Xavier last year than any actual improvement. Fool's gold.

There is someone that hasn't. Clearly, we are seeing very different things in that picture. Nothing in that picture makes me positive that something good was going to happen. There are literally four Seton Hall players pictured. Even with Marcus under the rim, I'm not sure how you can look at that and be even optimistic that something good was going to happen. I guess we will just have to disagree on the degree of certainty that that play would have had a positive outcome absent the possible foul.

The only negative thing that can happen there is his shot gets blocked out of bounds but that's not likely considering how far the had to come. You realize he slowed down once grabbed right? I can say with pretty good certainty he gets that shot off if he decides to shoot and not pass to the wide open MD.

The player I'd like to see benched is the next one who fouls a three point shooter. It happens virtually every single game and there's never any consequence to the player who does it.

The fact that we are focusing on that play and not the awful coaching is a dream for JT3. Pryor did him the greatest favor ever. We started off unprepared and continued that way for about 30 minutes til JT3 figured to double Delgado and not the guy with the ball 25 feet from the basket. You could also hear Rodney yell wake up to the Hoyas when we're down 8-0. How could this team come out flat in this spot. there are plenty of people here pointing out stats that show how bad the coaching was.
At the end of the day if you are a Pryor hater and a JT3 defender the numbers aren't in your favor.

That doesn't necessarily means he gets a good shot off, let alone the shot goes in. I can say that I most certainly don't think he had even a fleeting thought of passing the ball to Marcus. I think it was a bad play. You don't. I guess there's not much more to it than that.

Pryor must make a lot of plays in practice because for some reason he always has the ball in crucial spots...even tho he is not our best player. Remember Depaul? It was not the plan to have Pryor jack up the biggest 2 shots of the game. It is just who he is. At the end of regulation, as Pryor moved toward the hoop, LJ circled around him and was wide open on the perimeter. But Pryor is a glory hog. Wants every big shot no matter how cold he is. It is just who he is, no chance to change it now. Next time we may want to put him on the bench in the closing seconds. i noticed the same thing. peak was wide open but pryor was in head down drive nowhere mode.

1) This team can only win when it outscores the opponent. Insight of the year.
