You say flip the script, I would like to know how you think that is going to happen? In detail please.... Rebound, defense, take good shots, no lazy turnovers. So basically do the things that we haven't done all year

Without Watson, we have a chance. I'm so disappointed that he is out, though, as I had looked so forward to watching this Creighton team in action. They still put up over 90 points in a "bad" performance against Marquette, though, so we will have to play some defense.
If we play with the intensity we brought against Xavier on Sunday, we will hang around in this game. Still, I think Creighton will place a big emphasis on getting this win. With their injury issues, they need every win they can get to get the highest seed possible. A top three seed still isn't out of reach for them, but they will have to rack up wins. For them, this is a winnable game on the road. My guess is they'll be focused, prepared, and edge us out at the end of the game. Pretty much the script, and not the flip.

With Watson out, Patton is the guy to watch on Creighton. A 7' redshirt freshman, he has been great on both ends of the court this year. he was not even considered a real big time recruit, but he could end up being in the NBA next year. HIs mobility, athleticism, and skill level is really impressive. he could really embarrass our slow-footed big men on wednesday night. Govan and Hayes may be able to muscle him a bit, as he is thin. But he is so much quicker than them, it could get pretty ugly. And the guy who replaced Watson (I think his name is Mintz) had a very good offensive game vs. Marquette this weekend. They will put up plenty of points on us if we play our usual level of poor defense, and they do not have a random bad shooting night. But we can outscore them if we play really well. The problem is we have only played really well against a competitive team maybe once this year (LaSalle). Maybe the first 38 minutes vs Maryland count as well. Other than that, we really have not played another complete strong game against a competitive team. No reason to think we'll play one on wednesday night either, unfortunately.

Strangely I feel liberated now that we can kiss this season goodbye. I can watch this game (and the rest of our games) without worrying that another loss will ruin our season. Not scream at the TV when we fail to grab an offensive rebound, when we fail to get back on defense, when another little guard blows by a Hoya big and goes to the hoop or passes out to a wide open man on the wing. I wonder if possibly the Hoyas might feel a little more relaxed. Play a little looser. Probably can't make a major change mid-season but I'd love to see JT3 sit all the bigs and play 3 guards (LJ, Pryor, Jagan,) and 2 forwards (MD and Reggie). Ditch the whole modified Princeton and copy the systems used by Xavier and Butler. We'd have 5 guys on the floor who can shoot 3's and score. Sub Tre and Mulmore for Jagan and Kaleb and Trey for Reggie. What do we have to lose? Lose all the points and rebounds those bigs give us? Or their ability to guard the paint?

I earnestly hope that, whatever happens tomorrow, it is not as bad as the 106-51 thrashing that Pittsburgh suffered at home at the hand of Louisville tonight.

Hard to believe that less than a decade ago Georgetown and Pitt were two of the premier programs in the country battling it out every year for BE titles....

Pitt, BC, Cuse- all the traitors are struggling. UConn is in a wasteland. What a shame.

Would really help if the posts could show up tonight. The decline in Hayes play from last year is alarming. FT percentage has dropped from around 61% to 34% and FG percentage is down to 50% from around 55%. That is particularly disappointing when you consider where his shots come from. No way can this team win with posts who make only half of their shots inside 5 feet.

Patton is exactly the type of player we need to find/get for next year to complement Govan...if Creighton can land him, we should be able to as well...

Creighton only favored by 2. Another moneymaking opportunity?

Even though it is a Fox Regional game, it looks like it is not even live on FoxSportsGo until a 10:00 "replay"

Hey, if Sumner can play with one arm and put up 14 points, 7 rebounds, and 7 assists why doesn't Creighton play Watson? On one leg he's probably better than our guards.
