Up and down half but we have the lead so I'll call it a great half!!

Much better movement today on offense, ball is not stopping. I can tell Jt3 told all the guys especially the way Pryor played in that 1st half that.
On defense, still not talking well. switches are not getting communicated well, but the effort rebounding is there which is big.

Very nice few minutes for Agua!! You mean Agoo?? Definitely. So - maybe the delay was team punishment of some kind? He doesn't seem hurt, and he should've been in the game much earlier.

I don't think I ever saw this team look as incompetent on offense against a ranked team and still have the lead at halftime. How many point-blank misses at the rim (especially by LJ who must have been told dunking was no longer allowed)? How many missed FTs? How many passive possessions that went nowhere? Plus almost zero contributions from our centers and so-so defense and it adds up to the Hoyas being lucky not to be down by double digits IMO. If the team can just put together a more competent half they might pull a victory out of this. They are at least competing which is nice to see.

I agree with most of your post but LJ's injury is clearly affecting his lift. He did look good on the one backdoor pass but his drives he's not being explosive.

Wait, what?
LJ has been a freight train in the first half. The premature "maybe the groin is affecting his lift" excuse for his first miss should have been disproved by the rest of his half. Completely.
I can't remember a half where he's been so effective at getting to the rim.
He's 7 for 11. What else do you want from him?

I'm not using as an excuse but on most of his shots he's noticeably having to push it up rather then an easy front rim layin like usual. He's definitely been carrying the team even if he's somewhat limited. He's playing great even in the face of adversity. Additionally I would not have mentioned it outside of that first miss had no one questioned his non dunking

I know we're up right now but these have been a very Hoya first 4 of this half. JTIII needs to read them the riot act or we're classically down 8 with 8 to play after a long drought.

They still don't know how to get the ball inside....outside of a backdoor pass from the top of the key.

Gotta get Tre out of the game. When his shot is off, he doesn't provide much of anything. Mulmore needs to play as many minutes he can handle the rest of the game.

Foul on Kaleb for working hardest for the rebound. Definitely came in flying but it looked clean

Rodney picked up his 4th foul at the 15:08 mark. Gotta assume he sits until the under 8 tv time out Now it is time for Peak and someone else to carry the team till Pryor can check back in.
