Definitely gotta win this one. But anyone watch Nova last night? Josh Hart was amazing. Not since Austin Freeman have we had a guy who could take it to the hoop like Hart. Watching Hart go fearlessly against the Purdue 7 footer was almost scary. Afraid he will eat our big guys (especially Govan) up. But let's take care of business tonight.

This is a game where I hope we go small. I would like to see Trey play a lot of 5. I don't have confidence our bigs can defend Melo effectively in the PnR. He is really good at running it. Cowan too but he's not the same kind of finisher.

Great to see the pressuring defense turn the opposing team over that leads to easy baskets, as the Hoyas did Saturday. Was not impressed with the rebounding on both ends of the court though. In order to run you have to rebound. The team still has too many spectators watching when the ball goes up, then reacting once it hits the rim. Natural rebounders like Otto Porter, instinctively reacted to the shot itself, i.e., position on court when taken, trajectery, etc., to know where to be when ball would come off the rim. The only natural rebounder on the team seems to be Kaleb Johnson. I thought Agau would be that natural rebounder this year at one of the big man positions, but he may be hindered at this point by not being fully recovered from his ACL surgery. Let's hope Govan learns a little about positioning when Hayes comes back.

Just like any team there will be the good and the bad and I believe our good times and bad times will hinge a lot on REBOUNDING. Rebounding has a lot to do with the level of desire and acting on that desire to possess the ball once it is in the air (before it even gets to the basket). That desire can be increased but it mostly come from within a given individual. I just hope our guys can find it to act on it.

I'll be at the game tonight. Can't wait. Any notable, local recruits coming to watch us win? *knocks on wood*

Lets hope Melo doesn't get to the line about 18 times.

ZERO soft fouls tonight. I am okay with putting Melo and company on their back, but no easy stuff. Fouls that would make Michael Graham cringe.

Hopefully that place fills up in next 30 minutes. Looks like they could have played that in McDonough.

6:30 starts in this city are ridiculous.

Peak has 2 stupid fouls already. I don't care how much pressing, running, or new players they bring in etc, If JTIII doesn't get smarter about foul its always going to be a long season.

Where is the crowd? If they can't sell tix for this game what hope do they have for anybody else. Student section looks empty as does most of the lower bowl. I know 6:30 is an early tip, but still. Our fight over whether the last home game was truly home or split gate looks silly if we can't manage a reasonable crowd.
