Villanova would never consider scheduling a game against the Hoyas, next topic please. Isn't that what Howard University once said? (Yes, it did, and it does so again.) Granted, Andy Talley will not schedule Georgetown. However, in the past 15 years, he has scheduled Bucknell (2004,05) Colgate (2002,08), Fordham (2002,12,13,14,15), Holy Cross (2009), Lafayete (2016) and Lehigh (2004,06,07,08,09,10,16). Talley is also retiring this year and the new coach may have a different view. Then again, if Georgetown wants nothing more than drawing nonexistent student and alumni interest a game for schools like Davidson and Marist, it won't matter.

The last time we played Richmond, the game was so bad that the coaches skipped watching film with the boys and only had them do a light jog for practice in order to have more time to recover. Why would we play Villanova, besides to fulfill some odd fantasy of football legitimacy? Would you suggest we also play UVA? Temple? I don't know why you keep bringing up Richmond. I was referencing Villanova, Georgetown's closest peer school in this current era of athletics. But whom would you like to schedule? If comparably sized schools are too dangerous, should we revert to scheduling Catholic and Gallaudet? You don't see Richmond as a peer school? Villanova and Richmond are very comparable programs, and we've actually played Richmond, with very poor results, so I was demonstrating that we've already tried what you suggested and it doesn't work.
