Most likely too far along in the process tbh... Ok, I'm ignorant here, why is that the case? It's at least 6 months until he can sign anything if not longer. Ewing is one of the top big men developers in the NBA with Kareem and Hakeem and probably others I'm not aware of. If I was a top big man and still had that long to make a decision, I'd be pretty open to hearing what Ewing had to say. If he was class of 2017, would totally understand it being too late. But is recruiting really wrapped up that early that 2018 is too late now?

Recruiting comes down to relationships most of the time, hard to build that trust in such a short time. Plus the powers that be might not be comfortable sending their can't miss prospect to learn under a brand new head coach. Unless it's a big, might want to focus in on the #40-150 range of recruiting to start unless you have an in. He could reach out to Shaq's son for instance. Would be a tough pull but I'm sure he has a relationship there he could try and work..

How much fun would it be to have Shaq around the program?

Seriously? Sorry, but this strikes me as delusion of the highest order. On the other hand, I'd love to see Shaq ask Boeheim how his ass tastes.

You did not see the inside the NBA where Shaq was talking about Pat how he was his favorite player and how nice Pat has always been to him and he was shocked how nice in person he was and a stand up guy. Shaq is heavily involved in his sons life.

And considering Shareef had said he wanted to visit Georgetown anyway, even before III was fired, I suspect we are going to be major players with him

So maybe it's not delusion of the highest order, but I still wouldn't get carried away.

No way Zion's calming here. Kid could walk into any blue blood and play ample minutes, why take a risk with a rebuilding program? Playing under Ewing is definitely great, but he'd only be here for a year. The vast majority of his development will happen in the NBA. Georgetown will not be a hot spot for one-and-done recruits unless we drastically change the culture of our program, and I see nothing to suggest that Ewing could or would even want to do that.

Upon taking this job, i hope Ewing is fully aware of the fact that he needs to drastically change the culture of our program in order to be successful. Pat needs to get this done

So could have Markelle Fultz. Or Ben Simmons. I'm not saying it is likely. But the last two #1 recruits have both gone to schools without a lot of recent success.

Wow, Duke has become the new Kentucky. As much as I hate Duke, I hate Kentucky (Calipari) Sooo much more.
The Duke fan base must just be ecstatic, could you imagine as a Hoya fan. Kentucky fans will be calling for Calipari's job before you know it.
