collegebasketball.nbcsports.com/2016/07/11/three-observations-from-the-adidas-gauntlet/3. Class of 2018 forward Zion Williamson continues strong stretch After an MVP performance at the NBPA Top 100 Camp in late June, Class of 2018 forward Zion Williamson had a lot of momentum coming into July and he didn’t disappoint in multiple viewings. At 6-foot-6, 225 pounds, Williamson is carrying a little bit of extra weight, but he’s still absurdly explosive as a leaper and that enables him to rebound in traffic over bigger post players while also playing well above the rim on offense. The intriguing part of this five-star prospect’s game is going to come in how he expands his perimeter game. Many people around Williamson told NBCSports.com that he’s a much better perimeter shooter than advertised, he just has to play the four with Game Elite and still isn’t completely refined in that area. Williamson even acknowledged to me that he has to take that tremendous leaping ability and uses it to get good lift on his jumper because he tends to shoot more of a set shot for the moment. Besides the developing jumper, Williamson is also a very good passer for a player his size and has a great feel for the game. To me, it’s a positive that he’s not launching perimeter jumpers right now, because he’s playing within himself and doing whatever his team needs. The Class of 2018 doesn’t have many exciting prospects at the moment, but Williamson has firmly placed himself in the top-5 discussion and could push even higher if he improves his perimeter skill level.

ZION WILLIAMSON CONTINUES DOMINATION
If you think that Zion Williamson is a one trick pony, a guy that primarily produces because of just how much more athletic and explosive he is compared to everyone else, think again. The 6-foot-7 combo forward type definitely can score the ball in the lane, just as he did Friday evening, where he made all nine of his field goal attempts en route to 21 points on the final stat sheet. However, many fail to see the fact that this time last year, the Game Elite product was just 6-foot-3 and was more of a 2-guard. He unleashed some of these ball skills from yesteryear in Anaheim in leading the break, facilitating as a point-forward, and play making below the arc.
No one has been more productive all summer long and on Friday evening, Zion Williamson would have received the game ball for his MVP performance. He is one of the best that there is in 2018 and he continues to surpass all expectations placed onto him due to his elite production on the final stat sheet.

Georgetown Offers Zion Williamson (18) and Center Moses Brown (18) among the the competitors in the Elite 24 Game in Brooklyn being televised on ESPNU
One can dream of the 2 of them suiting up for the Hoyas in the fall of 2018 and making a heck of a duo.

Staff should be all in on that imo. 2017 is looking like a dud unless we pull a coup with Waters or Brown. A class of Williamson, Boyd, and Keldon Johnson would probably be even better than the Ike/LJ/PW class two years ago.

I strongly believe if we win this year, recruiting will take care of itself

There was a kid dressed in blue behind the bench yesterday that looked like Zion. Haven't seen it reported he was there anywhere so I'll assume it wasn't him but uncanny resemblance...

The young man is one of the most athletic players I have ever seen for his age but is he just more athletic or can he play? How is his shot, can he pass, can he dribble well enough, is he capable of defending? I'm asking anyone who may have seen him play. Greatly resembles Lance Stephenson facially and body wise.
