Hate to be the Debby Downer of the group but I think those that have posted their excitement over this kid are doing so primarily because of his ranking. I don't prescribe to the rankings but if I did I would tell you he is currently over ranked as a top 10 prospect. He is ranked that high only because he is physically way more advanced then his classmates and a very good athlete but if you watch his game at all, he has a long way to go in terms of developing a consistent jump shot or a perimeter game. At the high college level the holes in his game will be on full display. Don't get me wrong, I love his ability to get to the rim and finish. He's also very dynamic in the open court but because of his lack of a consistent jumper as of now in his development, he has a ways to go. That being said, I hope the staff stays on him and he becomes a Hoya.

Cool, although sounds like a reach----any connection or other ace in the hole that might give us an advantage here? The Hoyas have a record of bringing in a forward from South Carolina every 20 years or so.

Very nice footwork and body control, from that clip. Also a better-than-average handle for his size (although I suppose that's "damning with faint praise" at this point in his development). Considering how far he is away from finishing HS, looks like a real good kid to be on early.

Man, this guy is quick and nimble for his size! Would love to see him in a Hoya uniform!

Zion Williamson, 2018 CF: From the opening tip, it was clear that the 6’7” bruiser brought his best this week. He’s an absolute bull around the rim, with deceptive quickness for a player his size. He was finishing everything he got his hands on, particularly in traffic. He was also relentless on both the offensive and defensive boards, confirming our belief that he’s a top 15 player nationally in his class right now.

Looks to be a strong Clemson lean.

^ I wouldn't put much stock in that at this point. Yesterday was the first day coaches can contact 2018 recruits directly so his recruitment is just starting..

The NBA Players Association Top 100 Camp is typically a place where underclassmen struggle. That however wasn’t the case at all with Zion Williamson. The South Carolina native used his toughness, explosive athleticism, and scoring mentality to have a major impact on day one. As always Williamson was getting to the rim off the dribble, and then he was able to finish quite nicely in the lane through contact. Add in a motor that never stops, and he was a force. Also it is good to see that Williamson made sure to rebound and defend as well. Recruiting: It is still early but Williamson has interest from Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida State, Texas A&M, and others. www.scout.com/college/basketball/recruiting/story/1679093-nba-camp-top-peformers

Averaged 19 and 10 on the 17u adidas circuit 70% from the floor... While a fair critique this kid is huge don't think the bullying of opponents will stop at the HS level... He's bigger better athlete than say a Rose Jones who had no issues. Think his overall ranking of top 20 right now is right and exact based on the 2018 prospects I've seen

2018 6’7 Zion Williamson has soared in the rankings this spring and summer. On the first day of NBPA Top 100 Camp he showed us why he is one of the elite prospects in the 2018 class. He is a bruiser that can overpower a lot of different guys. He is capable of doing so much work down low because of how strong he is. He is not the tallest guy but his strength makes up for his height where he can post up on somebody weaker and smaller than him and still beat a lot of people off the dribble. There were multiple times today where he beat the opposition one on one to the rim while finishing with contact.
On the recruitment side of things, he had to say this spring has been amazing. He has picked up 15+ offers. Some that really stand out to him are: Maryland, Uconn, Georgia Tech, Georgia, Florida, Clemson, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Tulane, Wofford, Tennessee, UNLV and Georgetown. Particular schools that are talking to him the most are Georgetown, Virginia, Alabama, Clemson and South Carolina.
When talking about Tony Bennett and Virginia he said “They have been really good to me. I like Virginia. Coach Bennett talked about what I can do on and off the court. For example, if basketball doesn’t work out, I can still have a future off the basketball court.”
When picking a school it will come down to what really fits him well. He is not going to be looking at the “Hollywood” type places. He wants to find what system fits him well the most. The type of system he wants will need to allow him to play his game, post somebody up that is weaker than him and beat his man off the dribble and create for others.
Heading into the rest of summer, he really wants to work on a consistent jump shot, “I feel like this is the part of my game that lags.” He also wants to get better at “on the ball defense and not just jumping after it on pump fakes.”

Zion Williamson (SF, Game Elite, GA)
Williamson had a strong showing in his first game at Top 100 camp and showed why people find his style of play to be so intriguing. He plays with a lot of toughness and has a great balance of athleticism. The class of 2018 prospect broke onto the scene this year and by his play today he doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Georgetown is the latest to extend an offer to him. Others that have offered are UConn, UCLA, Maryland, Tennessee and UNLV.

"His game and body type don't fit conventional position slots, but 2018 Zion Williamson continues to play outstanding basketball. His move to five-star status is all but certain after two terrific days that have left him the leading scorer in camp. He's surprisingly explosive, fast and he's nobody's punk when it comes to getting physical. Think of him as an even mix between the Lakers' Julius Randle and Butler star Roosevelt Jones." basketballrecruiting.n.rivals.com/news/nbpa-day-two-hamilton-progressing
