Root for Nova---1985 aside, and whether we like it or not, Nova is currently the standard bearer of the new Big East, and their success can only help this conference gain a higher profile.
Root against Cuse---rivalry aside, they are a dirty program who shouldn't have even been in the tournament, and were a major factor in the breakup of the greatest basketball conference of all time. May they lose every game for the rest of history by the same margin OU just lost by.

Only "IF" UConn would've stayed in the Big East. UConn did not leave the Big East. UConn was not invited to join the reformulated conference, which acquired the rights to the name "Big East." Thanks for the correction, the football money broke up the original Big East, among other things.

F@@@ Cuse
Scr@w Nova.
JT3 and his $3.1 million annual salary should feel the heat.

Does the Big East share more $$$ if 'nova wins it all? Or is the money the same for all Final Four teams/conferences (obviously doubled for the ACC this year)?

I read an article that said that nothing beyond getting to the Final a Four changes the money, so I think the answer is no. On another note, I don't fully understand the "this should light a fire under JT3" argument. I mean I understand that if you see a conference mate succeed you want to be in that situation yourself, but shouldn't that be the case if anyway? Then again, Villanova had a worse season than us just 4 years ago. So maybe we can do something similar.

Andy Katz ESPN Senior Writer So two of the last three years a team from the American and the Big East will play for the national title. We can stop now with the power five label in college basketball. The Big East doesn't exist anymore, didn't he get the memo? Sounds like ESPN Corporate Communications has a meeting ahead with Mr. Katz. (It sure worked for Jay Bilas.)

This game is sort of the exception to the usual rule -- in an age dominated by 3 pt shooting, Carolina is smashing Cuse right now with good old fashioned hustle and size. Keep it up!

Honestly, we are better against the press than these teams have been against Syracuse. I don't get it.

Listening to Big John calling the game on Westwood One, it is apparent he has much more fondness for teams that drive/take it to the rim than teams that rely so much on threes. No surprise there. Still...those must be interesting dinner conversations with his son.

JT3 and his $3.1 million annual salary should feel the heat. Does he really get that much on a yearly basis?

Does that mean we technically made the Final Four in 96 when UMass vacated its tournament wins?

I think as long as no players on this team were involved in the bogus classes they would keep the title. May be wrong.
