Yes. As in, no ticky-tack fouls. If we are going to foul him, he should feel it- both during the game and on Sunday. I welcome them to employ the same strategy toward us. Basketball is a contact sport, in spite of these disgusting rule changes. Perhaps what sleepy was really saying was that the word should have been "hurt" instead of "count"?

No, I do not want to see anyone hurt. You can let someone feel a foul without actually hurting them.

I really hope we are planning on playing zone most of this game. If you are serious about the zone it better not be the basic 2-3 zone thats been shredded most of the season. Would love to see the matchup zone with pressure up top and on the wings but I don't think we have either the ability speed or experience to run it effectively other than to switch things up. Think we will play 90% man, outside of inbound plays. i know we are gonna play some man but Dunn will get our bigs in huge foul trouble if we play exclusive man. I think we should play the 2-3. Providence isnt a great shooting team from the perimeter. Cartwright can get hot and make some and Lindsey is beyond streaky. I feel its the way to go plus Bentil struggles finishing over size.i dont want him getting offensive rebounds off of all the help the center has to give when Dunn blows by our guards.

Sleepy is thinking somewhere between Hard and Hurt. Dunn appears to take more punishment than he actually gets and has been doing it his entire career and before he ended up at Providence. I'm not taking anything away from him, best player in the league should be an outstanding pro, just overplays the i'm suffering from all this physicall contact a little too much for me.

How about using that full court press with Kaleb and Riyan. Just to keep Providence off balance and give our starters a rest. 3-4 minutes in each half.

Really hope the student sections are jammed for this one. 8 pm Saturday start, I'd assume they'd be warmed up and in fine fettle.

I'd say the students that were there last night did a great job. With a win like that, it gets a buzz going on campus. I'd be willing to bet we have a good student turnout.

Call me when the "Should Chris Grosse be on the hot seat?" thread hits 40 pages of discussion on how his promotion system is inflexible.

No, I do not want to see anyone hurt. You can let someone feel a foul without actually hurting them. I think we were exaggerating. I don't want anyone injured - just make sure there are no "and ones".

Is anyone else surprised to see PC is only 43 in KenPom rankings? I can't say I am that optimistic about the Hoyas' chances on Saturday, but at least I was hoping an unexpected win would be a major resume item. Is there any chance GU is even favored?

Providence is one of the few teams we play that's got a higher RPI than KenPom Ranking (Xavier's 15 KenPom and 5 RPI). Considering that the NCAA committee looks at RPI more than KenPom, that's a good thing especially considering that every other top 50 KenPom team we play is underrated in the RPI. If the Committee decides to look at KenPom over RPI, we'll be in good shape becuase of UConn (30 in Kenpom, 63 RPI), Creighton (34 KenPom, 94 RPI), Syracuse (39 KenPom, 55 RPI), Butler (37 KenPom, 59 RPI), and Seton Hall (39 KenPom, 52 RPI).

Silly me thinking the selection committee might be more interested in a useful ranking, but you are right no doubt. Of course GU also benefits by moving from 66 RPI to 50 KenPom.
