Draft Xpress has always been good. They have good scouting reports and do a solid job of projecting players to the pro game. Lol, really? Agree with other posters on the change in write-ups after the fact. Givony is a hack. If you read a draftexpress "report" there's a bunch of obvious stuff, a bunch of stuff cribbed off of other people and then always 1 or 2 massive inaccuracies. The fact that they edit instead of update scouting reports shows how much they know. There's really nothing on there that you can't pick up by watching a game on tv. This should not be a surprise, since you have as much training as them. Players like Dwayne Bacon, Justin Jackson and Caris LaVert are not going behind this version of Isaac Copeland.

Chad Ford updated his "Big Board" today. Copeland's played his way off the top 100 for Ford. Still no LJ Peak.
Interestingly, Josh Hart is up to #35 overall.

Man, he is lucky to be in any projections at all at this point. I like Ike and want to see him succeed, but boy is he in a slump. I think he will pull out of it, but the question is when.

He had a nice dunk at Butler and hit a mid-range if I recall correctly. While I would love to see him shoot his way out of the slump, I doubt we can afford the attendant inefficiency, so I am hoping that a few more interior looks help him see the middle of the hoop again. I feel for the guy frankly, just hope he can get his head or his stroke or whatever back where he needs it to be.

Needs to finish with authority around the rim. Missed weak layup late was a killer and hard to watch.

This mock draft also has Bentil going at 48. What a joke.

Copeland is rated where he is simply on his length and athletic ability. He has not played well enough this year, even before his shooting problems, to be considered a real NBA prospect. I think he has the chance to grow into a prospect but he has a ways to go. Having Bentil rated that low is a joke!!! I think he has a real chance of being a first round pick this year, never mind next year. He does not have the same length as Copeland but he is so much more active and plays so hard that he would find a spot in the NBA. People don't talk about it often but playing hard is a skill and guys like Bentil clearly have that skill in abundance where Copeland plays in spurts.

Copeland needs another year to pull his game together. The raw materials are there but I don't think a year of chuck and duck with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers will do much for him.

Hopefully he will step up to the leader role we all know he has the ability to carry.

If Copeland could start to play with more of sense of urgency on every possession it would really improve his game. He makes some impressive plays but then seems to defer to his teammates for a few possessions and disappear. A player who is as physically gifted as Copeland needs to impacting the game in some way on every possessions that is he on the floor. He needs to want the ball on offensive, attack the glass for both offensive and defensive rebounds and be more active on defense.
The entire team tends to play that way to some degree. They seem to come out and let the other team dictate the way the game will be played and then try to respond. They need to dictate things more and make teams respond to what they do well.

Except he's not long according to the available information. He has a below average wingspan for an NBA player. People continue to believe this myth that he is long but it's unsupported.

He's not long but he is a 6'10" SF for the NBA which is plenty of size.

It would be a horrible move for him to go. First, I don't think he'd get drafted 54. Second, even if he did, it's essentially tantamount to not being drafted at all. In all likelihood, he'd be with Trawick, Whittington, and Sims in the D league.

Furkan Korkmaz (#11) sounds like a name from Johnny Dangerously.

I can see the argument for staying, but I can also see the argument for going, similar to what Hollis did. What assurance does Copeland have that his NBA draft position won't tank further next season?

I can see the argument for staying, but I can also see the argument for going, similar to what Hollis did. What assurance does Copeland have that his NBA draft position won't tank further next season? There is no guarantee for being drafted in the second round. No guaranteed contract; no guaranteed money. If his NBA draft position "tanks" it'll be because he's performing poorly at the collegiate level, so there would be no reason to expect he'd be doing better in the D league. It's different when you get a guy like Porter who will get guaranteed money and a contract; then it's an easy decision to go. I would also add that others like Sims were projected late in the second round by some of these websites, and he was never drafted. As for Hollis, he was out of the NBA for one season, and then got signed. He was fortunate, but he's also been lucky to play for an abysmal team. He got really lucky, and easily could have been out of the league at this point.
