It has to be an encouraging sign that all of the schools that Kobie is considering are good schools. I hope that means that he's focused on more than just basketball. Georgetown is certainly the outlier on his list both geographically and, to a lesser extent, academically. That has to say something about how he feels about Georgetown, the staff, and the team. I think it's a huge outlier academically.

They are home vs Auburn so why not? He's already seen Baylor. Hoping we get a visit.

Eubanks confirmed to Hoya247 that he will be visiting Texas A&M this weekend and is considering making a visit to Georgetown or Baylor following that trip to College Station.

Sounds very much like we're on the outside looking in. Too bad.

I think people are reading into that too much. Maybe they're the team he's least sure of and already knows what he's getting from us and Baylor so is doing his due diligence.

At this point, it doesn't look like he's going to be a hoya.

At this point, it doesn't look like he's going to be a hoya. While that sucks for us as Hoyas/Hoya fans, it has always seemed like a less than perfect fit if there is any validity to the academic stuff. No harm, no foul in exploring the option. If he doesn't end up a Hoya, good luck to the kid wherever he goes.

At this point, it doesn't look like he's going to be a hoya. That has been a constant theme lately.

Will elaborate a little more once decision is official. I for one am a fan of this kid and think he will do well wherever he ends up.

So what is this now like strike 4? Strike 5? We're working on striking out the side here...

So what is this now like strike 4? Strike 5? We're working on striking out the side here... They did pull Mosely which is at least an extra base hit in my view.. Since we're using baseball references, I wish the staff would have tried to put the ball in play somewhere as opposed to swinging for the fences.. I think the staff should take a peek at the back-court kids 2 schools may be looking at, they are Harvard & Vanderbilt.. I believe G'town can out recruit both of these schools head to head(see Mosely)but they rarely compete for the same kids.. Amaker has put together a solid HM backcourt in the last 2 classes with kids like Bryce Aiken & Corey Johnson(very high level shooter) plus the Justin Bassey kid's profile looks very similar to Kaleb's.. Stallings has killed it with kids like Riley LaChance, Wade Baldwin(he took an unofficial to G'town), Matthew Fisher-Davis in 2014.. They followed that up with solid kids in 2015 & 16 as well.. For whatever reason the staff has a hard time consistently pulling it's top backcourt targets maybe it's time to try a new strategy..

We will not make another deep run in the tournament until we get some elite guards. It is nice to recruit some 3 stars with high ceilings, but if you look at the last several national champions, they all had excellent guard play. DSR is the last of an extinct breed, 4 star guards coming to Georgetown. Ugh.

Which means playing him at point guard (which is where he wants to play anyway). It also means not overrecruiting more point guards since that will just push Jagan to the 2 and stunt his development at point. Otherwise this cycle of not getting elite guards will continue.

DSR is the last of an extinct breed, 4 star guards coming to Georgetown. Ugh. Overreact much? National Championship teams are good at every position. Last year's champs best players were at C and SF; the runner-up had a PF/C and PF/SF as its best players. Our last deep run in the tourney had a walk-on and a Top 25 guard starting. Jeremiah freaking Rivers was the only backup. LJ Peak exists, or are you one of those weird people who insists he plays no guard because of the media guide? And regardless of stars, I'm pretty comfortable with Tre and Kaleb. Or do you think they suck because they didn't have enough stars? Also, Kobie Eubanks is #98 on RSCI. Some people like him, some people think he's unremarkable. I know people are so desperate for a commit that they love to build guys up, and I would have been glad to have him, but let's stop acting like his recruiting ranking is closer to DSR than Tre Campbell.

I humbly disagree professor. I believe we have to win in the tourney to give the impression to guards that they can win big a Gtown. I believe getting LJ, Kaleb, or Jagan to the L will look good but winning looks better. 4 and 5* kids already believe that they are going to the league. They want a chance to win before they get there and we need to convince them that they are the difference between a FF and a championship. Which means we need to show them that we can get to at least the 2nd weekend............
