Early interest from Gtown, UMD, UVA, Washington, K State, Virginia, Unc, others.... If that isn't validation enough then the interest he is drawing from JT3 and Georgetown University should be.Chapelgate Christian center Jason Murphy took an unofficial visit to West Virginia this past Saturday, Chapelgate Coach Frick Fierson told The Post. The 6-foot-8 Murphy, who is in the Class of 2019, has an offer from Old Dominion and received interest from the Mountaineers, North Carolina, Maryland and Georgetown, according to Fierson. Murphy visited Georgetown before Patrick Ewing was named head coach, but the Hoyas have continued to be in close contact. Murphy also regularly receives mail from Central Florida and will attend camps at St. John’s and Princeton this summer. www.washingtonpost.com/news/recruiting-insider/wp/2017/06/13/riverdale-baptist-has-three-rising-seniors-primed-to-play-at-the-next-level/?utm_term=.3e5c0f8cf3e9

How are we not somewhere in that collage of logos? It reminds me of the pre-tourney SI cover every year, every school represented.

How are we not somewhere in that collage of logos? It reminds me of the pte-tourney SU cover every year, every school represented. Lol... Staff needs to give him a call if they haven't already... savannahnow.com/sports-high-school-latest-news/2016-01-23/ball-family-grandson-and-son-prominent-coaches-are-playingTrae Broadnax said he has seen documentaries about his father’s playing career at Georgetown and appreciates everything he has learned from his father. “He’ll compliment me when I play well, but he will also tell me about areas I need to improve in,” Trae Broadnax said. “But that’s OK, he just wants me to get better. “I’m having fun in my first year at Islands. We’ve been playing together in AAU ball for a long time and we have good chemistry. I like how coach DeMasi coaches. He is tough on us, but he is great with all the players. He is a team-first kind of guy.” DeMasi, whose enthusiasm is contagious, has also coached football and baseball during his career, but has been courtside for 34 straight seasons. He is having a blast coaching this team, a squad with just one senior on the roster. “We’re having a lot of fun, and the kids are improving,” DeMasi said. “It’s kind of crazy because I remember coach Durham as a legend. He used to coach Dominique Wilkins and he broke my heart back in 1983. “And I remember Horace Broadnax as No. 32 for Georgetown playing with Patrick Ewing for John Thompson when my favorite player was Chris Mullin at St. John’s,” he continued. “Now everything has come full circle and I’m coaching their grandson and son 30 years later — that’s pretty fascinating. They are players who work hard and love the game.”

The 6’7” forward just missed the cut for the Under-16 US National Team, as he made it all the way to the final group of 16 players, before the roster was trimmed to 12. The 3-star big man holds offers from Georgetown, Oklahoma State, Penn State, according to 247 Sports. Rutgers did so back in early May, which I covered here. Dixon was named Second Team All-State in Pennsylvania last season as a sophomore at Abington high school and he was the only non-senior to be named to either of the first two teams. He averaged 19.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game. While he is known for his touch near the rim, Dixon has been working on his jump shot, which was showcased in this tweet.
Love this kids game...
