Glad the young man has chosen the Hoyas, but Does he have a left and right hand handle? Tre has a right hand handle but his left hand is shaky and he does not try to go to his left most of the time. The Hoyas need a pg that can get to any part of the court when he wants to his his dribble. DSR can get there but it takes an inordinate amount of time, so whenever he gets there the defense is waiting. From all reports Jagan is a better defender than Tre or DSR so the Hoyas will not be so porous out front with he and Peak plugging the gaps. He will make the Hoyas better, but again the need for a true pg, and not just a combo guard is still there.

Wonder if he was responsible for shutting down St. Augustine's leading scorer. Their best player Justyn Mutts - is having a very good year. local news account

Georgetown recruit Jagan Mosely scored 10 of his game-high 21 points in the fourth quarter as Saint Anthony, the No. 1 team in the state according to nj.com, needed a strong finish to hold off the No. 6 Hermits, 52-39, at the 2016 Shoot Down Cancer Classic. We knew coming in it was gonna be tough, especially since we were the last two undefeated teams in the state," Mosely said. "Their run was pretty crazy. I knew it was coming; they were on their home court, so it was bound to happen. We just wanted to react to that and go on our own run." That's exactly what the Friars did. Senior guard Asante Gist drilled two huge 3-pointers – one in the final seconds of the third quarter and one early in the fourth. Mosely and Daniel Mading then drew back-to-back offensive fouls on Sa'eed Nelson and Mutts on shots that went in, helping turn the tide in Saint Anthony's favor. "They were big plays in the game," Hurley said. "That completely changes momentum." "That was a real dagger at the time," Mutts agreed. "It was perfect timing for them." Mosely went on to hit a 3-pointer and convert a three-point play to help the Friars seal the victory. www.sjsportsdigest.com/news_article/show/614699?referral=rss&referrer_id=1114104

Played a really solid game, jumper looked smooth (3:00, 18:00 second vid) and more compact also showed some facilitating and a lot of leadership as usual. Probably my favorite play though was at 1252 in the second vid where he sprints back on the break defends the rim without fouling forcing a difficult layup and eventual miss. Then getting back in the play and taking a charge on a 6'8 kid going full speed top the basket. Not going to show up on the stat sheet but without question a winning play and very indicative of his game and approach overall...

59-11??? smh
Jagan Mosely led all scorers with 16 points as St. Anthony, No.1 in the NJ.com Top 20, defeated Prestige Prep, 59-11, in Jersey City.
Asante Gist netted 14 points and R.J Cole contributed six points for St. Anthony, which outscored its opponent, 31-8, in the first half.
Jagan and Tyler

It looks like this kid is going to be a good player for the Hoyas and will add a lot to the team for years to come, but he does not look like a true point guard who defenders can't stay in front of and is consistently getting into the paint to create for himself and his team mates. That is fine, not everyone on the team needs that skill set, but the Hoyas are in desperate need of player who can do that for next year. Hopefully they can add another recruit or find a 5th year senior to fill that role.

Seems like we're going to do whatever it takes to find a fifth year senior and then bank on Lykes joining us in 2017.

The Georgetown Hoyas desperately need help at the guard position and Jagan Mosely showed that he is definitely someone who can help in that regard. In a convincing win by St. Anthony’s, Mosely was tremendous showing his all-around game. He has good size at near 6-foot-4, and can get to the rim, and also is a solid shooter. Beyond that Mosely showed his versatility being able to play point guard, and could be an immediate contributor for the Hoyas next season. promotionathletics.com/primetime-shootout-top-performers/

Looking like a very nice recruit for Georgetown. Given that he's the best player on one of the top high school teams in the country, I wonder why he doesn't get more love. What are Jagan's perceived limitations by the recruiting gurus that keep him from being a Top 50 recruit? Looks to me like he has great size, length, and athleticism for a guard.

He's probably looked at as a position less kid but it's ok because he plays winning basketball.. I'll be very surprised if he's not a fan favorite in a year or two..
